Kageyama sat awkwardly at the end of the bed, fiddling with his fingers. He was beginning to think it may have been better if he went with the team instead. A sudden weight fell onto his side, making him glance over.

Hinata pulled at the taller male's jacket sleeve, though he said nothing. Kageyama patted the smaller male's hair. The dark-haired male began to pull his hand away, but it was snatched before he could. The next thing he knew, he was being slammed onto the mattress.

"What the hell!?" The taller male shouted at the little crow who pinned him down with his small hands (though Kageyama could easily flip it around). Without saying anything, Hinata plopped down onto the chest of Kageyama, clutching the dark-haired male's jacket.

A sigh passed Kageyama's lips as he wrapped an arm around Hinata.

"...Wanna talk about it?" The taller male muttered. To his surprise, the tangerine nodded his head. "...My mom- she worked a lot when she had me, so my grandmother took care of me while she was away, so we were pretty close," Hinata began.

"Once my mom had my sister and moved out here, things started to settle down and I didn't get to see my grandmother much after that. She'd still come over on the holidays and all, but I still missed her, you know?"

A sniffle sounded from the littler crow. Kageyama rubbed his back while listening intently.

"I wished I could've been with her longer. I wish she still had time. If I had known, I wouldn't have come to this stupid camp! I could've been with her, but instead, I came here and was having all this fun while she was hic dying!"

Hinata smashed his fist into the mattress, sobbing again. "It's not your fault. How were you supposed to know-" Kageyama was cut off by the little crow sitting up. Hinata pointed to himself.

"Look me in my face! Look me in my face and tell me that I'm wrong! You can't! Because if I hadn't of come here, then I would've been able to see her before she- she-" The tangerine dropped his hand onto Kageyama, who stared up at him in pity.

Carefully, Kageyama sat up. He placed his hand on Hinata's face and forced them to meet eyes. The dark-haired male's stable, unmoving eyes balanced out Hinata's watery, flinching ones.

"It's not like her death is your fault. You didn't know any of this was going to happen, so stop blaming yourself for not being able to see her. She wouldn't want to see you crying like this, would she?"

A shocked expression was painted on the little crow's face. "No..." Kageyama smiled (though it looked sort of evil) and wiped Hinata's tears. "It's okay to be sad," The younger male uttered, Hinata gave a small smile.

Though his mom wanted him to come home, the funeral for his grandmother wasn't until two days after the training camp ended, so he stayed. A couple of weeks had gone by after the death of his precious grandmother.

He played in the matches and did the practice, but everyone could tell he wasn't himself. "Hey, Shouyou?" Kenma placed his hand on the tangerine's shoulder as he stared at the gym wall with a blank expression.

The crow turned his head, attempting to offer a smile to the dark-rooted male. "What is it, Kenma?" Kenma squatted down in front of the short male who was sitting on the bench. "Do you wanna go get ice cream with me?" Hinata laughed a little.

"That'd be nice, but we still have pra- Where is everyone?" The taller male patted the crow's head. "You were zoned out for a while. Everyone's changing out of their uniforms because practice is finished for today."
