"How on earth have you already made a friend here when I couldn't do it for about 23 years?" Jeongguk pouted as Miyeon sat next to him on the couch.
"Because times are different and Namjoonie is nice." She said, watching Tom and Jerry. "Yeah like honestly a great guy, glad I can catch up tomorrow with him, the modeling thing sounds cool." Jimin walked into the room and handed his sister a steaming cup of jasmine tea.
"I wanted to spend time with you though." Jeongguk gazed at Miyeon with the most innocence filled eyes he could muster.
"You can't make me ditch him Jeonggukie." She laughed and he huffed in annoyance.
"I'm glad you're making friends." He mumbled. Jimin chuckled. "We were bound to but don't worry, Miyeon won't run away with him. I definitely would though." He laughed loudly and Jeongguk smiled.
"If he asked I would follow him anywhere. He has that persona you know?" Jimin giggled.
"Shut the fuck up now." Miyeon was focusing hard on the TV.
"So Jeongguk." Jimin said nonchalantly, clearing not giving two shits about his sister's warning.
"Mmm." Jeongguk sipped a glass of milk. "How did you find us?" Jimin looked at him curiously. "A ton of private investigators and British, Korean and Japanese police forces." He signed as he remembered at the beginning how lost he was.
"All that?" Jimin's eyes widened. "I would do anything for you two." Jeongguk turned his eyes into Jimin. "That's brave rich boy. That's admirable. I'm glad you're my best friend you know. You really listened to us, you still do and you're loyal and empathetic. That's more than we could ask for." Jimin then hugged him and then grabbed his mug of tea once more.
"I actually have some more things for you two." Jeongguk grinned. The two turned to him in confusion.
"You didn't have to do anything Jeonggukie." Miyeon then gripped his arm. He kissed her cheek softly and smiled.
"I didn't, but I did. I'll show you after your trip with Namjoon." He grinned.
"Speaking of gifts, we got you something too. Well it was already yours but you know." Miyeon then ran upstairs.
"What did you two do?" Jeongguk asked.
"Remember your camera?" Jimin smiled. "Yeah it got lost with all my stuff back at the cottage. Why?" He looked in confusion.
"It was never lost. You left it in my bag." Miyeon came back with a box.
"Open it!" She said excitedly. He pulled her on his lap and opened the box on her thighs.
"Oh..." He gasped at the developed photos in frames, in complete awe.
The lure was the photo of them all when they had entered the train, asking a kind porter to take it for them, mimicking the pose by the Beatles.
There was another one of Jimin and Jeongguk sleeping at another train station, Jimin's cheek squished onto Jeongguk's shoulder looking tiny.
There was another when they entered a bookshop in London, Jimin and Miyeon pouring over a book by David Copperfield.
So, so many photos of Jeongguk getting his foot stuck in mud and whining as Miyeon tried to pull him out, which was placed in a sequence frame, another of him and Jimin at the old couple's cottage, sitting down with beers.
So many group photos of people they met. A colorful man with feathers and a street dancer.
They ended up traveling longer than a weekend. And Jeongguk had loved every second of it, completely forgetting about his parents at that time.
Then there were the secret ones that Miyeon and himself took. There was one of her lying in her bra and sweatpants, on her back on the floor and smiling at him as he had taken it from above.
Another was of them kissing with the background of flowers, Jeongguk holding the camera up. Jeongguk immediately knew that one was going in his office, it was large and and he loved it.
There were many more.
There was one where Miyeon was putting things away and her top half was bare, her back facing the camera which her tattoo on display, the dark ink swirling on her skin.
Another where Jeongguk was smiling as he brushed his teeth in the reflection of the mirror, Miyeon peeping in the frame holding the camera.
These ones were definitely going in his bedroom.
Jimin raised an eyebrow as Jeongguk stared at a particular photo of Miyeon and himself in his bed here at this house, Jeongguk draping his body on Miyeon's as he held the camera.
And Jeongguk decided that this one was his favourite. Miyeon was there in their sheets, completely bare underneath her blanket and fast asleep, her pale legs glowing in the morning sun.
"Definitely in our bedroom." He mumbled.
"Yes Miyeon and I discussed those particular... photos if she wanted them printed and framed and she... insisted." Jimin coughed slightly as Jeongguk traced the curve of Miyeon's back in the photo.
"Jimin suck it up." She rolled her eyes. "You are exposed. I will not suck it up." He glared at her.
"We are adults. These photos are beautifully taken by this talented man. He's keeping them." She snuggled into his neck. His paced the photos down and turned her head gently and kissed her for the first time in a year.
"Yes please do that. Forget about poor single Jimin being in the room." He rolled his eyes but smiled.
They broke apart and Jeongguk mumbled against her lips "I love you.". Her eyes widened as he kissed hers agains, looking comical as they kissed with their eyes open.
"I love you too. I was afraid I'd never see you again." Miyeon stroked his cheek gently. "I would do anything to have you two with me." He licked her lip and she chuckled.
"Alright so I'm going to go and do some stuff." Jimin got up quickly and left the room.
"Lock the door." Jeongguk laughed as Jimin held up the middle finger before indeed closing the door.
