I looked in the mirror at my long dark hair and green eyes. Nothing stood out about me. I was normal, regular.
I pulled my silver cross necklace out and studied it. It was small and simple. My dad got it for my mom on her birthday when they started dating. She gave it to me when I turned 10.
"Becca hurry up or you'll be late," my mom yelled.
"Coming," I yelled back.
I ran down the stairs just to get in my mom's van.
I looked at my mom. She has dark hair and eyes.
"Is dad at work all ready?" I asked
"Yes, he got called early," she said as she pulled into the high school parking lot.
"Are you subbing today?" I asked.
"Yes."
My mom would substitute at school sometimes.
Just as I walked to the door the bell rung and everyone rush in to their classes.
I sat down in the back row of my favorite class, English.
"Everyone settle down," Mrs.Ellison snapped.
A boy walked in. He had brown hair that draped over his forehead.
"This is Chase Miller."
