Prolouge

Year 07

Gotham City

Barbara Gordon sits in her room playing on her laptop as her Dad, Commissioner Gordon left to work.

"Barbara I'm heading out." He yelled from the front door.

"Alright Dad, Love you." She screamed back. She heard the the door shut and watched as her father drove the car to work. Barbara stands up and walks to her closet. She opens the door to show a Batman like costume.

Ever since Barbara moved to Gotham to live with James Gordon (after her actual parents died when she was young), she wanted to serve justice.

James forbidden her to head to the GCPD unless an extreme emergency. She took off her flowery t-shirt and jeans to put on some protective pads underneath her costume. The Fourteen Year Old grabbed the cowl and began to pack her utility belt with Gadgets she "found" in the evidence locker back when Batman was still considered a criminal.

"Time to show Gotham that a new creature of the night is out on the prowl." Babs thought to herself.

She opened her window and scaled the fire escape. James Gordon won't be back till 6am. It's 9pm now. She could basically be out all night without him knowing.

Barbara started to run and jump rooftop to rooftop over her neighborhood. She soon started reaching taller buildings. She looked in her utility belt for a second and found the Bat Grapnel.

"Here goes nothing." Said Barbara. She fires it and the clanking metal is muffled by the sounds off busy traffic and jazz players in Gotham Square. With a push off she flew through the air, giving out a little scream every time she seemed was about to hit something.

She tumbled and rolled on the roof where she landed. She looked up to see The Gotham Skyline.

"Beautiful." She said.
"You sure are." Said A strange voice.

Barbara turns around to see The Teen Wonder Robin standing in the shadow. Realizing what he just said he corrected himself.

"I mean you as in yogurt.. Stand.." He trailed off. Barbara didn't seemed to notice as she felt like she was in big trouble.

"What's your name?" Asked Robin.
"Umm.. Batgirl." She retorted.

"Okay Batgirl what are you doing exactly, crime fighting isn't for kids." He said with his fists on his hips.

"Said the Teenage Bot wearing Spandex."
"They are not Spandex. This is military Grade..." He stopped and slowly backed away into the shadow.

Behind Barbara was him.. The Dark Knight, The Caped Crusader, Batman....

"Busted." She said. Babs hung her head in shame. But Batman just looked at her for awhile.

"Uh Batman, don't tell me we are stuck in a time paradox again." Said Robin leaning into the light.

"Miss Gordon come with me." He finally stated. Barbara slowly walked to the edge of the roof to an alleyway. Robin hid in the shadows as she walked.

"Babs?! No no no no no! Bruce what are we going to do?!" He thought to himself.

"Miss Gordon can you get down safely?" Asked Batman.

"Yes." She said as she fired the Grapnel that gave her the ability to use it as a pully and bring her to the ground.

Barbara noticed the Batmobile parked. Barbara gets in and Dick sits in the backseat. The engine roars as The car speeds out of the alley towards West Gotham.

"Batman, my Dad is working at the Downtown headquarters as usual." She stared.

The Car exits Downtown Gotham and to the Gotham Heights District. Driving through the forest where no one can notice the Batmobile, Barbara looked around the car. She sees Robin who is just playing on his phone.

There is a Waterfall up ahead and The Car drives straight through it. The car makes a screech sound as Batman jumps out, Barbara is amazed by the Cave.

"Welcome to The Batcave. Filled with A Kitchen, Teleporters. An infirmary, living room, training area, Bathroom and more." Said Robin.

Batman singles Robin to stand next to him. Bruce whispers something into Robin's ear. Barbara looks curiously. After a nod of the head The two decide to take off their mask.

"Mr. Wayne, Dick?!" She shrieked. Alfred came in with a tray of cookies.

"Ah I see Miss Gordon decided to join the Batclub." He said.

"Barbara I noticed since last year that you really wanted to fight crime. So I'm giving you the opportunity." Said Bruce.

"Thank you so much Mister Wayne!" She said happily. Her eyes sparkled.

"Call me Bruce." He said.
"Her face went from excitement to anger as she looked at Dick."

"You were Robin and didn't tell me?!"
"Well look at it this way, if I did then I wouldn't be Robin anymore."

Bruce chuckled as he walked to the Batcomputer.

"Let me give you the tour." Said Dick as he extended his hand to Barbara.

"Best Night ever!"
