NINE: The Hassaikai

We met with the police at the police station, getting some more information as they also went over the plan. Then we went in.

Breaking into their hideout wasn't the easiest, before we could even try and get in a giant man broke out, but we kept moving and fighting, getting past their first line of defence and making it into the secret underground tunnels.

Except as we ran down, we were met with a dead end, stopping us all in our tracks. Togata went to take a look, peeking through the wall. His quirk allowed him to become intangible and go through any matter, like my quirk but to a higher extent.

"The hallway's just been blocked with this wall. Unfortunately, breaking through it's not going to be easy," he explained.

Midoriya and Kirishima easily broke through the wall and we kept moving. But as we ran the walls and floors started to move around around us, making it hard to keep moving forward. It was like some crazy dangerous funhouse. I lifted my feet off the floor, floating above it as I looked around for the cause of this.

Togata started to run forward and Nighteye called out to him. "Lemillion!"

"Speed is what matters right now, those guys know it too, that's why they're stalling for time. I'm going on ahead," he told us without looking back.

Togata ran through the wall that blocked the end of the hall, while the rest of them were trying not to fall over. I turned to Fatgum and Nighteye.

"I'll go after him, we don't know what he's running into. I'm the only one able to catch up to him in time"

Fatgum nodded to me before I flew off, following the blocked off path, easily passing through the walls I came upon.

"Where is he?" I mumbled. "He's too fast"

Finally, I found him. There were two villains there, one hanging from the ceiling, dripping alcohol onto the floor as he drank. The other was shooting at Togata.

But as I got closer I started to feel dizzy, unable to see and move straight. I fell to the ground, trying to get my head straight, but the feeling wouldn't go away. Which meant this wasn't me, it had to have been someone's quirk, probably the drunk.

I could hear voices up ahead, Togata was talking with them. I pushed through the dizzying feeling and hurried ahead, stopping beside Togata. He had just taken out the two men ahead of him blocking the path to Eri and Chisaki.

"Be careful," I tell him quietly. "We'll get Eri"

But he vanished, only appearing up ahead in front of Chisaki and another person who was carrying Eri. He attacked Chisaki but Chisaki dodged, then he attacked the person holding Eri, being careful not to hurt her.

I ran towards them, noticing Togata now held Eri's small body. I stopped in front of him, standing between them and Chisaki.

"Please don't, go back, leave me. Otherwise he'll kill you," Eri begged.

"I'm never going to let you down again, Eri. I swear it. I am going to be your hero," Togata told her.

"Go, I'll handle Chisaki. You save Eri," I order. "Get her out of here"

But he didn't move, because Chisaki started talking. "Come back, Eri. How many times do I have to tell you? It's your fault, you break people. That's just how you were born"

"Go," Eri told us. "Hurry"

"Don't listen to him," Togata said.

"You know how this goes," Chisaki said. "I always have to get my hands dirty because of your selfishness. Every action you take results in people dying. You're a cursed human"
