SEVEN: Hero Exam

I got off the bus with all the students and Aizawa, stepping onto the property where they would be taking their exam for their hero licenses. It was a fairly nerve wracking experience for the students, so a lot of them were visibly nervous.

"I wonder what they're gonna make us do," Mineta says, fidgeting nervously. "Uh, what if I can't get my licenth?"

"Mineta, don't ask if you can," Aizawa told him. "Say you will"

"Right! Thure! I've tho got thith!" He said, his lisp really noticeable in his nervousness.

"If you can pass this test and get your provisional licenses, then you novice eggs will hatch into chicks, you'll be semi-pros. I expect your best," Aizawa says to the rest of the class.

"Wow, I never knew you had such an inspirational side to you," I joke.

"Alright! I can't wait to be a heroic chicken!" Kaminari says excitedly.

I wandered away a bit, looking around the giant stadium where the exam was being held. There were a lot of other students, all looking very serious about this exam.

"Marry me!" I heard a familiar voice exclaim excitedly.

I turned and found a green haired woman talking with Aizawa, an orange bandana wrapped around her head. She was someone I had met years ago, during a mission. She was very loud and outgoing, someone that really annoyed Aizawa.

"No," Aizawa was quick to turn her down without any emotion.

"Haha! You're a real laugh riot, buddy!"

"As usual, you're impossible, Joke"

"C'mon, imagine it! If I was your wife you'd have a future full of constant laughter!"

"That sounds like an actual nightmare"

"It seems that you two are close," Asui points out.

"Our agencies were near each other. As young heroes striving to make a difference in the world, a mutual love bloomed"

"No it didn't!" Aizawa was quick to turn down the lie.

"I do miss your quick retorts! You're my favourite person to tease, future husband!"

"Hey, Joke," I say, stopping beside Aizawa.

She blinked a couple times, unable to tell wether it was actually me or not, then she smiled. "Saku, you're alive!"

"Up until recently I've been a villain," I explain. "Well, a hero undercover as a villain. But, yeah, still kicking"

She then glanced between Aizawa and I, a thought forming in her head. "Hey, it's the power couple! Together again! How long has it been?"

"We're not a couple," Aizawa mumbled, his face hidden by his hair and scarf. "We never were"

"Really? Aw, I was always rooting for you two. My two favourite people to tease!"

"I don't remember you ever teasing me," I say.

"Oh? You don't remember the time you saved me when I accidentally slipped off that building after winning a fight against a villain?"

"Joke! Stop screaming, I've got you"

When I grabbed hold of her, floating in mid air by the building she fell from, she smiled widely, her arms wrapping around me.
