THIRTY ONE

2021 :'D

corbyn set down the chips on the island in the kitchen. they were only inviting family since they've all been traveling and they didn't want to risk anything. but in reality, it would only be their siblings. eva and del were down by the beach with jonah and eben. jordan, daniel, jack and zach, were hanging out in the living room with lavender. she was making happy toddler noises.

the boys seemed to be might lighter since jack calmly blew up on randy yesterday. they weren't as tense as before and corbyn could feel as if he could actually breathe a little.

"where is my boyfriend? i miss him."

corbyn looked over his shoulder to see daniel rise up to his feet. he smiled, continuing to pour out chips into bowls, and then clipping the bag shut.

"babylove sweet angel face lovebug absolute love of my life, come and let me hold you." daniel whined, hugging him from behind.

"you held me all through the night and until 11 today. not sick of it?"

"why on earth would i ever be sick of holding you." daniel was very much offended. "i can stop holding you if that's what you want."

"nope."

daniel pressed kissed to the side of his neck, touching the soft skin on his stomach. "how are you feeling? i know i wore you out last night." he couldn't help but to feel a bit proud.

"'m okay, just a little tired." he turned around in his arms. "if me wearing what i wore yesterday gets that reaction out of you every single time, i'll definitely be buying more."

"oh please." daniel said, lifting him up onto the counter. corbyn kissed his chin, moving the soft kisses along his jawline and to his neck. daniel forgot how to function. "i think i'm addicted to your lips." daniel blurted out. he took corbyn's face in his hands, brushing his thumb over his bottom lip. "red, soft, beautifully wrapped around my—"

"oh my god shut up." corbyn covered daniel's mouth with a soft laugh.

before daniel could reply, the front door opened, and in came jon. daniel moved back so corbyn could slide off the counter, but kept him in arms distance.

"i need to tell you guys something. good news and all." jon waved the two other boys in the band over to the kitchen. jack left lav with jordan, the baby not seeming to mind at all. "where's jonah?"

"at the beach."

so they waited until jonah got home with eben, which wasn't much later. it did make their anxiety worse though since jon wasn't giving up anything.

they were gathered around the counter top, waiting for jon. they all held worried faces, completely expecting to get yelled at for doing something wrong. even though jon told them he had good news, they couldn't help but to feel that he was lying.

corbyn moved closer to daniel's side, anxiously playing with his promise ring. jack was trying his best to not take his hand away from zach's to start biting his nails and jonah was just waiting. for something.

but then jon smiled.

"there's an investigation being held against randy."
