*Note* From here on out there are going to be three different point of view and I will include a bold caption before each one. OC's, Bakugou's (squeeeee) and 3rd person when it's the two of you interacting.
~~Luna's perspective~~
I listened as the boys' voices faded and let out the breath I hadn't realized I was holding. 'Idiots didn't even give me a chance to refuse that offer.' I pouted and looked around my place. At least it was clean when they showed up, otherwise, that would've been super embarrassing.
I lifted the blanket that was on me and looked down at my barely dressed form. I really needed to shower and get changed before they got back. Looking at the clock on the wall, the time read 9:58. The guys probably wouldn't be back for at least an hour, so I had plenty of time to get cleaned up.
Gritting my teeth against the pain, I worked myself into a standing position. A little medicine and a hot bath would probably help with this anyway. Turning on my stereo, I hooked up my phone and started up my favorite playlist.
I've been gone for a while now
But only to gain my power
I've been fighting my demons
And I'm back up on my feet
The harder Shefall down
The stronger Shecome back laterI started humming along to the song, letting the music take me away as I walked into the bathroom. Looking in the mirror I saw how rough I actually looked. My face was flushed and looked pale, I had dark circles under my eyes and my curly dark hair was a total mess. "Ughhh they just had to show up while I looked like a garbage troll."
After brushing my teeth and taking some medicine, I grabbed my hairbrush and went to work brushing out every single knot before I got in the bath. Dunking my hair into the water I continued brushing it out, I hated my hair. Everyone else in the class has such beautiful straight, shiny hair. Mine may be healthy sure, but it's so thick and curly at times that managing it is a pain.
As I scrubbed shampoo into my scalp my thoughts drifted to earlier. It was so out of character for Bakugou to make an offer like that. I would've expected Izuku or Kiri to have done it sure. They were total sweethearts and such good friends. But Bakugou? As much as he ignores me, I figured he would be the last to make such an offer.
Rinsing out the shampoo, I massaged a generous amount of conditioner into my hair before focusing on the rest of my body. The hot water was definitely helping to loosen up my stiff muscles. I would probably still have to visit Recovery Girl one more time on Monday to take away the rest of this pain though. For now, ibuprofen and hot baths will just have to suffice.
I laid back in the tub, letting the conditioner sit in my hair for a while and enjoying the hot water. The fact those guys were actually so worried about me was just...Izuku I understand. He had always been like that. But Kiri and Bakugou? It was so sweet of them to be here at all, and I could tell that what Bakugou had said earlier about getting to leave was just him attempting to maintain his tough persona. Deep down he's really not a bad guy, otherwise, he would've never decided they were all going to help me.
That still doesn't excuse him for ignoring me these past few weeks. I really need to find out what's up with that. 'I bet Kiri could help,' I thought to myself. 'In fact, he would probably jump at the chance to interrogate his buddy some.' I giggled at the thought of Kiri annoying Bakugou until he finally caved and exploded.
I wasn't sure how long I sat in the bath, but after rinsing everything off I headed to my room to get changed. Looking through my drawers, I settled on a pair of black jean shorts, my orange hoodie, and some burnt orange thigh-high socks. Slipping on my favorite black monster slippers, I started brushing my hair and putting in the products to keep my curls from going wild. Studying my appearance in the mirror, I figured a little makeup wouldn't hurt so as I started applying my eyeliner I heard my favorite song come on the speakers and started to hum along with it.
~~3rd person perspective~~
The boys had just walked in, each carrying multiple bags. They had been able to hear music playing before they even opened the door. Something they all took to be a good sign that Luna was feeling better.
Let me be your superhero, your dynamite
Let me be the one to hold you to do you right
Let me be your superhero, your dynamite
Let me be everything you need to feel alrightThey could hear her somewhere in the apartment singing along with the song. Walking to the kitchen Bakugou couldn't help but chuckle at her music taste. It was kinda cringy, but he had to admit it was a catchy song. The boys were putting away all of the groceries and were nearly done when She walked in from her room. She didn't even notice the three boys and all three smirked at each other watching her carefully move her still sore body attempting to dance to the lyrics.
She definitely loved this song based on how much she was getting into it. She wasn't even attempting to keep her voice down and she sang wholeheartedly. Her eyes scrunched closed and singing into an imaginary microphone. Bakugou watched the expression on her face, at the emotions so evident to the world. It took him a second to notice she had changed clothes and that her hair was down and damp, the beginnings of curls starting to frame her plump face. Something about the way she looked so free and happy in this moment made him smile. He couldn't help it. He would rather see her this way than see her with pain on her face as he had earlier.
Anywhere you go, I'll follow
Hoping I could show I'm not the enemy
Wishing you would see that I am more than a stalkerLet me be your superhero, your dynamite
Let me be the one to hold you to do you right
Let me be your superhero, your dynamite
Let me be everything you need to feel alrightLet me be everything you need to feel alright
The song ended and she opened her eyes finally. Kirishima and Izuku started to clap and she whipped around at the noise. Bakugou just smirked as she began to blush, realizing they had obviously heard her singing. Pausing her playlist, she walked to the kitchen with all of them. "BELL! I didn't know you could sing like that! That was awesome!" Kirishima praised while Izuku nodded. "Yea I'm glad you're feeling better enough to act more like your old self."
She looked at Bakugou, expecting some sort of snide remark but all she got was, "We got everything that the loser here said you needed. Plus a few extras like snacks and shit." He slid over a container of her favorite sweets. "Now everyone out of the kitchen, I've got work to do." He started looking in her cabinets for cooking supplies and she looked at the other two confused.
They just grinned at her and motioned towards the couches. "If we say anything he'll kill us. Midoriya says you're big into gaming and anime. Show me what you got!" Kirishima led the way while Izuku followed behind.
*The lyrics in this chapter aren't mine. They belong to Smash Into Pieces.*
*And yes, her character loves indie and alternative music. Sorry guys but I needed to use my own music taste in order to set up nuances for later.*
