As soon as I finished getting ready for the party at Brandon's tonight, I headed downstairs. Everyone was hanging around in the kitchen except Jackson. Hmm, he must have left to pick up Destiny already.

I walked over to Phoenix, who gave me a look that made me weak in the knees. "Hey baby, you look amazing," His sweet words were like music to my ears, making me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

"Thank you

"Thank you. You don't look too bad yourself," The corners of my lips curved up before he slipped his hand behind my back, kissing me softly.

"I had to make sure I looked my best since I'll have you on my arm," He flashed me a sexy grin as my cheeks warmed up.

"Do you think they know there are other people in the kitchen with them?" I heard Luke ask Mia from the other side of the counter.

She softly chuckled. "No, I think they're stuck in their own world."

Luke let out a playful sigh. "Just rubbing their happiness in our faces."

Phoenix and I cracked a smile, turning our heads towards them. Mia stood beside Luke, who was leaning against the counter, propping up his chin with the palm of his hand.

"Oh shit, I think they see us," Mia teased.

My brow arched, looking at my brother standing in the doorway. "Who are you calling a gremlin?"

"Ryder," My mom spoke in a stern voice before rolling her eyes with a hint of a smile.

Lily chimed in. "Don't worry, Aunt Sawyer, I got this one," She lightly smacked the back of Ryder's head.

"Hey," He whined.

The rest of us chuckled from amusement.

"You all go have a fun time and be safe," Aunt Sophie said, biting into a cookie decorated with red, white, and blue frosting.
