After we left the gym, we walked hand in hand back home. It just felt so good to have Carmen near me again. We chatted about my dancing; I did not want to push Carmen to talk about her mission. I am assuming it went well as she is in a bright and cheerful mood. "What made you do that mash up?" Carmen asked me in a bright and breezy tone.

"Well, I loved both songs, but the words in them always resonated with me but I did not want it to be about doom and gloom. I wanted it to be uplifting."

"I did not know you could do ballet."

"I trained for a bit when I was younger. I thought I would tap into that again."

"Well, you executed your dance moves perfectly."

"Thanks." We had reached that section in the path where our house was close yet so far. "So, are you coming in?"

"Do you want me to?"

"Yes. I have missed you and we have a few things to talk about do we not?" Carmen shot me a somewhat questionable worried look. "We may have parted on good terms Carmen, but I have been talking since you left..."

"Well, it would be strange if you went mute. I laughed and shook my head.

"Shall we?" We stepped inside and automatically dropped our bags. I looked at Carmen and smiled. "I am so happy that you are home Carmen, I was worried sick." Carmen pulled me in to her arms and I closed my eyes as she spoke near my ear.

"I promised you that I was coming home. You. The thought of you was the one thing that kept me going during that successful mission and I am so thankful I get to come home to a woman that I can trust wholeheartedly."

"So, Jordan is okay?"

"She is. Now out of all that, that is what you picked up on?" Carmen leaned back and brought her hands up to my face, searching my eyes with her own.

"I love you Carmen. You may have told me in Flemish to throw me off, or to confuse me, but I'm telling you here, now, in this moment, that I love you." Carmen broke into a smile.

"How did you work it out?"

"A conversation with Dev and Angel. Fortunately for me, Angel is fluent in languages."

"Ah..."

"But why did you not tell me in English?"

"I did not want you to freak out or worse, you didn't feel the same way as I did. We have only been together a short while, but it's been one hell of a ride so far."

"We have been through a lot in the short time we have been together Carmen, that I agree. But being open and honest about my feelings for you to the others, scared and excited me at the same time."

"Why?"

"Scared that this will burn out. Excited to see where we head next, but I..." She silenced me by kissing me gently on my lips. I don't recall who amped it up, but the kiss became wanting, needing each other right there in that moment. "Shall we...?"

"I need to get these boots off before they become a passion killer. I smiled and Carmen let me go and took off her boots. I took her by her hand and led her upstairs.

Closing the bedroom door behind us, Carmen gave me a warm smile. That sort of smile no matter how desperate you are for her touch; you know that she was going to take her sweet time with me. We slowly peeled off our own clothing, but I so desperately wanted to rip her uniform off her. That want, that need every time our eyes met until we stood naked and almost vulnerable in front of one another. Carmen then lifted me up and I was draped around her waist like I was earlier on the dancefloor. We made it to the bed, and I was gently laid down on my back. I'm craving that feeling of her body on top of mine, she probably knew that, but I figured she wanted to heighten my senses.
