Driving home from the barbecue and from an exceptionally long day, it felt as though my energy had been depleted. "What a day..."

"I've thoroughly enjoyed myself. It's nice getting to be a normal civilian again."

"I've never thought of it like that before."

"Well, obviously babe. Your accustomed to being a civilian, it's taking some adjustment for myself, but I know I will get there. I couldn't help notice that Dev seems rather protective of you."

"She is." I let out a sight and continued to explain. "Dev stopped me from doing something life changing." I parked my car and Carmen looked at me with a serious look on her face.

"Care to explain?"

"I...my world had come crashing down. It felt like everything and everyone was against me. The powers that be kept dealing me blow after blow. I decided to take my own life, but Dev put a stop to that. She talked me off the edge, so to speak." Carmen went to speak but I stopped her. "Don't. I know I'm messed up, maybe wired wrong somehow, but please...I'm just asking you one thing."

"Ask away."

"Don't break my heart. I know I can't handle any more heartbreak."

"Olivia...I meant what I said. If you feel at any point we are no longer working, I want you to be pretty damn honest with me, even if it hurts me. But I have no intentions of breaking your heart..." She touched my face tenderly and gave me a small smile. "But the same goes for you. I may have this tough exterior, but inside, I'm just a woman who wants to be loved." Well, shit. That hit me hard.

"I have no intentions of hurting you Carmen, none whatsoever." I gave her hand a quick squeeze. "Come on. Let's get inside." We got out the car and my hand slipped in hers and I gently squeezed her hand again. "Are you still staying over..?"

"Of course. I'm not going back on our plans."

"Good. Do you need anything from yours first?"

"Not that I can think of." I nodded and then we walked up my garden path and I unlocked the back door and stepped inside. Carmen followed behind and turned and closed the door. I smirked to myself and quickly stepped behind her, putting her body flush up against the door as I put the key in the lock.

"Now....are you still wanting my A game tonight babe... or are you too tired?" My blood was pumping with adrenaline.

"I don't know if you can bring it..." Her voice was so teasing and enticing at the same time.

"Is that so?" I'm thankful for small mercies. Being similar in height was one. I scraped her beautiful blonde hair away from her neck and kissed her pulse point immediately. I had worked it out earlier when I playfully kissed it, sending a shudder through her body. After I finished tormenting her, I spun her around to face me, her eyes darkened with desire. Breaking our kiss to whip off her top quickly and my hand quickly flicked her bra clap, loosening it for me. Taking the straps, I dragged my fingers down her arms, appreciating her breasts when they came in to view. Bra discarded and my mouth latched on to her pulse point again before I spoke in her ear. "Now...do you trust me?"

"Of course."

"Good..." I kissed over her collar bone, down her breastbone and swirling my tongue over her pert nipple. My other hand teased her muscular abdomen, it was such a turn on.
