// Italic is what happened before Leanna comes in to the story. Happy New Year. New year, new book. This is a little bit different compared to my other stories, so I hope you enjoy it well.
Astrid's POV
It was sleepy time for my lovely guests and I was feeling rather peckish for something tasty. I checked the time and looked around my little office and got the confirmation that it was safe to find a nice tasty treat since I have been a good girl. Well, I was always a good girl. That was what my mother said before she passed from old age.
I stood up from my black leather chair and left my office without a sound. I of course closed the door after myself because what if a burglar decides to wonder in? That wouldn't happen anyway since I got security cameras around. I licked my perfectly shaped small lips and began to have a little adventure of my own as I walked to a lift which was only a few seconds away from my office and pressed the up button. As the lift was going down, I inhaled the air surrounding me before I caught onto a delicious scent. I then knew which floor to go to.
When the lift beeped gently, I walked inside and pressed the button that had a number one on it. I should have used the stairs, but the doors and my gorgeous expensive black boots would make an awful racket. After my little trip up in the lift, it stopped at floor one and then I began to search for my little meal.
Then, I found the room. Room Twenty-Four. I slowly opened the door and saw that it was only one female whose name was Louise. Oh poor little Louise...
She was only about my human age, 20. I carefully went over to her and stroked her cheek softly, my stomach was tingling with joy as she didn't know what was happening because she was asleep. She had the most beautiful short blonde hair, and from what I remember, she had light blue eyes.
I then slowly moved the duvet away, exposing her neck and shoulder. I leaned down and smelt her again, making sure that she was the snack that I was looking for and it was confirmed. "Sorry, my innocent one..." I whispered before I quickly sank my fangs into her neck, causing her to immediately wake up and start to tackle me which honestly pissed me off. Here we go...
The more she tackled, the more weaker she became and eventually, I felt her body suddenly collapse back down on the double bed. I pulled my fangs out and looked at her. I couldn't sense a heart beat...
Shit. I didn't want this to happen! I killed her? I killed my innocent guest? Fuck!
M...Maybe I could...no. It was too late and I didn't want her to know what I've done. I took a couple of deep breaths as I decided to act as if nothing happened. Louise was on her back with her eyes closed so that was a good sign at least...even though she was dead.
I then walked out of the room and closed the door behind me. The next day, I was sitting in my office until I heard a very loud scream from floor one. Then, a couple of quick minutes later, I heard a ambulance siren and a police siren shortly after it...
When the police came to ask me a few questions about the body, I played the innocent act and told them that I didn't know anything since I was 'busy' in this office on my laptop.
Of course I felt bad for the woman who found Louise, but it wasn't my fault...I was hungry and I couldn't control my other side properly yet.
