Chapter 27: Black Magic (last)

"I love you ..." said Alec .

Magnus was patting Rafe gently as  both Alec and Magnus thought of bringing both of their kids onto their bed to make them sleep with them. 

Magnus smiled at Alec , as the " I love you" was  for little Max.

Alec was swinging Max slowly on his shoulders. Max was in deep sleep. 

A tear drop came out involuntarily from Alec's eyes.

Magnus looked at his shadowhunter. He raised his brows up at Alec and gestured to know why Alec was crying. 

Alec tried to smile and said " Today , I got so scared seeing him ( Max) unconscious along with you ..."

Magnus said " Oh , Alexander...he is the Great Demon ,nothing bad can happen to him..."

Alec tried to smile. He said " I know , but I cannot make my mind understand that...I always think of it , insecurities hound me.."

Tears flowed down Alec's eyes. Magnus moved a little closer to Alec careful about Rafe in between them . 

"Love , you have to accept a very important fact that your children are here with special powers. You do not have to feel insecured about them. The one in your hand has the most powerful magic in the whole downworld. He killed Asmodeus when he was not even born. The other one is a divine angel . He is the most powerful in the shadow world . " said Magnus caressing Alec's cheeks.

Alec nodded his head.

He hugged Max tight and kissed his little round head .

Alec made Max to sleep by his side. Magnus smiled.

"Love , sleep, otherwise you would make yourself ill.." adviced Magnus.

"You sleep. You need more rest . You are the one who was unconscious draining your power completely " said Alec .

Magnus smiled and said " You would always have your own way   , don't you ?"

Alec smiled and said " Yes , I am the father of your children . I can take this much leverage ...can't I ? "

Magnus chuckled and said " Oh , as the father of my children ,you take everything which I have. You have the complete me , Alexander"

Alec smiled and said " Hmm...you really are completely mine ?"

Magnus got a little confused and said " Am I not ?"

Alec smiled and said " No , I don't think so ..."

Magnus got more confused..

Alec smiled at Magnus . He caressed Magnus' cheeks and said " Oh , you are so naive.."

"You are partly my children's too ..dear Papa..." said Alec clarifying.

"Oh , you actually scared me , Love .." said Magnus.

"Yes , you are right . I am theirs too. But you will know that I am all yours even I am fully theirs as well..." said Magnus .

Alec chuckled and said " How having a beautiful small family changed us.."

Magnus nodded his head smiling . He said " Never thought that one day I will be patting a my own little ones..."

Alec smiled.

Rafe squirmed a little in his sleep and made a sound to let his parents know that his deep sleep was getting disturbed by his parents' talks.

Both Alec and Magnus looked at each other and placed a finger on their lips.

"Shhhh..." said both Alec and Magnus to each other.

Alec took Rafe in his arms and placed him close to his body. Alec's warmth instantly soothed Rafe and he was drifting of to deep sleep again.

Alec started humming the french lullaby which his mother used to sing to him and his sister Izzy .

The lullaby not just made Rafe to get into deep sleep. It has made Magnus to move into sleep too.

Alec pulled the blanket on the whole of his family . He kissed Magnus and then the two of his little pieces of heart. He thanked the Universe for the little happy loving family he got and he himself went into deep sleep cuddling little Rafe. Max was hugging his Papa.

The Lightwood Bane Mansion was silent after the busy eventful day.
