y/n's pov:
everyday I'd come home to my bestfriend crying. it was always about her boyfriend Josh, and how badly he treats her. I wonder why she's still with him, me and all her close friends tell her to leave him, but I guess she loves him so much that she can't.
right now I had just gotten home to hear sniffles coming out of Nessa's bedroom. I was having money problems and thankfully Nessa had gave me the extra room in her apartment to sleep in until I found my own apartment.
since I had heard sniffles, I of course instantly knew Nessa was crying. as I always do, I went into her bedroom to comfort her about whatever Josh did now.
"Nessa.." I knocked on her door.
"Come in." Nessa said while crying hysterically. whatever josh had done, really hurt her. this was a new level of paInnnNNnnyaaayyahhhh. (giggles)
"Oh Nessa babes, what did Josh do now?" I asked her.
"He....broke up with me." Nessa cried. I knew Josh was going to break up with her, he'd been cheating on her, and calling her names behind her back. everybody told her what he'd had done. she would always say, "he's in a bad mood."
"bubs, stop crying over that mentally and physically abuser. He was obviously not right for you, stop letting him crush you down." I said, hopefully encouraging her.
"But y/n! I love him! I can't bare to see him with another girl!" Nessa cried, even louder.
my silence broke.
"Nessa!! Josh has been cheating on you for months!! Me and ALL your friends have been telling you! He doesn't love you Nessa. He never did! He called you a slut and a whore so many times behind your back! That doesn't seem like love Nessa. Not only that but he hits you! You have so many bruises, and you cover them up to make sure nobody sees them, but EVERYBODY sees them!!" I yelled.
Nessa stared at me with wide eyes.
"god I'm so fucking stupid." Nessa says getting up.
"you're not stupid, you were just blinded by the toxic love." I said, hoping she'd understand.
"what do I do now? I'm single." she laughed.
"I can treat you better." I whispered, hoping she heard.
