John walked home after leaving the train station. Once he got there, he saw his younger sister Martha desperatley trying to calm down their baby sister Mary. His little brother Henry. Jr was burrying himself in some homework, looking frustrated. Martha perked up and rushed over to John once she saw him. She put baby Mary in his arms. "Please. Deal with her."

"Martha, did you try to change Mary's diper? That's probably why she's cryin

"Martha, did you try to change Mary's diper? That's probably why she's cryin. Just sayin." John sighed.

"John, you always say to be ladylike. Dealing with disgusting ass dipers ain't ladylike so you deal with her."

"I don't always tell you to be ladylike. Only sometimes. Also, I only left you to take care of Mary for the short time I was out. I usually deal with all of Mary's baby stuff. Can't you deal with 1 day of taking care of her?"

"First of all, don't tell me to be ladylike. What is this? 1950? 2nd, I don't care that you usually do everything for each of us. Plus, I don't wanna take care of her!" Martha said, and kicked John.

John yelped in slight pain, and glared at his little sister. "Ow. Just tell me to not be a sexist ass and call it a day. Since dad is always busy, I gotta leave Mary to you. You need to take care of kids anyway. Specially since you want em. Jeez, you ruined my day."

Martha shrugged and walked away. John got Mary to stop crying and placed her in her crib. He turned over to Henry Jr. and asked if he needed help. Unsurprisingly, Henry Jr. shot John a piercing glare and shouted that he didn't need John's help and to leave him alone. John didn't even know why he bothered trying to do anything with him. After all, Henry Jr. always hated John for being their dad's favorite. Henry's always gonna hate me. I need to move on... Y'know, why do I even try with anything...

But then John suddenly remembered how Alexander always had drive and motivation for everything despite his fucked up childhood. The thought of Alexander and his drive made John smile and his heart skipped a beat. God, it's Francis all over again! Can't this stop?! He groaned and looked at his suroundings. I'm glad he didn't point out how I hesitated the first time he asked about my life. Wait, I didn't get to ask him about his abandonment issues. He changed the subject. Well, that's something we have in common. John decided to make his way over to his room.

Once he got there, he grabbed his phone and flopped on his bed. He tried to watch some videos to distract himself, but he couldn't stop thinking about his forbidden feelings for Alexander. He kept on thinking about his crush on some boy and felt more and more mortified of himself and his sexuality. Why would this happen? Watching videos didn't help distract him, so he put his phone down and closed his eyes.

He didn't know what to do from that point. His dad had always said that gays were bad, and would go to hell. And by the time John was 13, his dad kept on asking him questions about girls. Questions like, "Are you going to prom?" "You going to the dance with a girl?" "How's everything with your friend Martha Manning?" "Have any girls caught your interest?"
