Solo Leveling

(y/n) hacked and slashed his way through dozens of enemies, his level quickly climbing. After only a few hours, (y/n) had already reached level 8, twice the highest level of anything in the first area.

One last boar decided to try and attack him. (y/n) spotted it attempting to charge him and readied himself. He effortlessly side stepped the charge and swung his large sword, cutting into the beast's side.

The boar squealed in pain as it backed off. A vicious smile appeared on (y/n)'s face as he wiped the virtual blood off of his blade.

The boar stamped it's foot and prepared yet another charge. (y/n) crouched low as he pointed the tip of his blade at the beast. The boar let out a war squeal as it charged yet again. (y/n) breathed out and prepared. He stabbed the blade deep into the boar's face, the tip stabbing into its brain.

The boar let out a weak squeal as it's HP plummeted. The HP bar disappeared signaling the beast's death. Strangely however, it didn't disappear. (y/n) stared in slight shock as a small symbol appeared on his hud. He activated it and saw what he had to do.

(y/n) gripped the boar by one of its tusks with his free hand. He then strengthened his grip on his sword as he smiled viciously. (y/n) stabbed the blade even deeper into the boar's body, the tip of his two handed sword sticking out its rear end. The boar let out one last squeal of pain as it began to break apart

(y/n)'s eyes widened ins surprise as his rather low health suddenly regenerated. A ding notified (y/n) that he was also granted extra XP for something called an "execution". A series of dings notified (y/n) that he had also unlocked some things. (y/n) opened up the menu and inspected his new unlocks.

(y/n) had unlocked four new skills, one of them was unique

<Unique skill: Glory Kill>

<Crushing Counter Strike>

<Unstoppable>

(y/n) eyed the four skills curiously as he read the descriptions. Shoulder bash was exactly what it sounded like, a shoulder attack that could be charged and stunned enemies it hit. Crushing Counter Strike was more interesting however.

<Crushing Counter Strike>

<Upon a successful parry, this skill will activate. Upon activation, your next attack will have the "unblockable" effect and deal increased damage>

(y/n) raised an eyebrow in slight surprise as he read the description. This skill would allow him to counter attack after a good parry. (y/n) shrugged and moved on to the next skill.

<Unstoppable>

<Unstoppable is a skill that will activate during specific combos. Upon activation, your next attack will have the "unblockable" effect and deal increased damage. As a trade off, the attack's speed will be considerably reduced>

(y/n) nodded in satisfaction as he finished reading. This skill would make heavy combo finishers completely unblockable. (y/n) moved on to his final, unique, skill.

<Glory Kill>

Glory Kill will activate after landing the finishing blow with a heavy attack. Activation allows the user to perform a brutal finishing move that upon completion, will restore lost health and award extra XP.

(y/n)'s eyes widened in complete shock as he read the last sentence

(y/n): "Health regen and bonus XP!?"
