Jack's POV

"Now, what be the nature of this venture of yourn?" Gibbs ask me.

"I'm going after the Black Pearl." I answer, causing Gibbs to choke on his ale.

He beats his chest to stop the coughing.

"I know where it's going to be, and I'm going to take it." I explain.

"Jack, it's a fool's errand. You know better than me the tles of the Black Pearl." Gibbs counters my argument.

"That's why I know what Barbossa is up to. All I need is a crew." I finish.

"From what I hear of Barbossa, he's not a man to suffer fools, nor strike a bargain with one." Gibbs tells me.

"Well, I'd say it's a good thing I'm not a fool then, eh?" I ask.

"Prove me wrong. What makes you think Barbossa will give up his ship to you?" Gibbs challenges.

"Let's just say, it's a matter of leverage. " I tell Gibbs, as I look to Anna-Marie, who was dancing with William. I turn my head to make Gibbs look at William. He doesn't catch what I'm saying, so I have to repeat, said, head tilting.

"The kid?" Gibbs asks, finally catching on.

"Or the girl?" Gibbs asks, a smile forming.

"Aye, that is the child of Bootstrap Bill Turner. His only child, savvy?" I ask.

"Is he now?" Gibbs asks.

"Aye." I answer, taking a gulp of my ale, as I look to Anna-Marie, who was laughing and Dancing with William, who was making a mockery of himself.

"Leverage says you. 'I think I feel a change in the wind,' says I. I'll find us a crew. There's bound to be some sailors crazy as you." Gibbs answers, I don't really hear him. For some odd reason, my attention was turned to Anna-Marie.

I nod, not really paying mind to Gibbs, he finally notices.

"So, you found a lass, eh?" He asks.

"She wants to be a pirate, I'm just showing her the ropes." I answer, taking a big sip of the ale, before we return to discussing the plans for the Comandeering of the Black Pearl. I wasn't paying attention until I heard Gibbs shout: 'Mary, mother of god!' and look up to see William unconscious, and Anna-Marie missing.

I run out of the tavern, my adrenaline sobering me with each step.

'Help!' I hear a feminine voice call from th docks. It took me hours to find which boat she was being held hostage inside of.

'Anna! Anna!' I call out!

'Jack! Jack, help me!' I hear a muffled shout.

'The CrossBrander' read the ship.

I burst intot he doors, Gibbs directly behind me, only to see this man taking advantage of my woman!

"Oi! That's my woman!" I shout, drawing my sword, and aiming it at his neck.

Gibbs cut the ropes that were around her wrists and ankles, before I let the man go, and help Anna-Marie to the Interceptor.

She stardted shaking, and sobbing, which made me have to sit down and calm her.

She then confessed her feelings for me. How long has this been happening? I didn't even realize, but when I thought about it, it all made sense. The unbridled joy, the unusually long stares, the protectivity over her. I care for her. This wasn't supposed to happen. I've always had relations with women, but a relationship would mean to open my heart to someone, and to do that, would mean to risk being hurt. That I cannot do, but when I thought about it, I wanted to tell her everything.

Looking at her now, asleep in me arms, it felt... right? Like this is what was supposed to happen. Looking at her angelic features as she slept, a small smile crept to my face.

What is this?

My mind began to race as i pictured random situations of us int he future together. Things that would probably never happen.

This has never happened before.
