"Puts a chill in the bones, how many honest sailors have been claimed by this passage." Gibbs tells us, as we overlook the ruins of ships that surround us. The eerie creepiness of the scene before us, I feel it deep in my bones, so I go behind Jack, and He wraps his hand discreetly around my waist.

"You alright, darling?" He asks.

"I'm fine, just the feeling of a chill crawling up my spine." I tell him, rubbing my hands against my forearms.

"We'll be past it all soon." Jack tells me, rubbing his thumb in circles on the side of my somewhat medium sized bump.

"Tell me a little more about yourself, Jack. I know practically nothing about you." I tell Jack.

"I know practically nothing about you." He retorts.

"Fine. I'll tell you something, in return, you tell me something." I tell him, and he chuckles a little."I can agree to this." He tells me.

"All right. Ever since I was little, Bethie was the only mother I had. Our mother passed when we were born from consumption. It was a miracle we survived, but we did. So, me and Elizabeth have been two peas in a pod since then." I tell him.

"I apologize." He tells me.

"Don't. I was very young, I don't remember it at all." I tell him.

"All right, I used to captain the Black Pearl. Me and my old crew, we went to Tortuga before we set sail for Isla De Muerta." He begins.

"Island of the dead." I whisper to myself.

"Aye, but three days into the venture, the first mate tells me everything's equal share, meaning the location as well. I gave up the bearings. However, that night there was a mutiny. I was left on an island stranded, with nothing but a pistol, and a single shot." Jack continues.

"Why the pistol?" I ask.

"I was marooned. It's a part of the code. As I was saying, I was left stranded for three days, before I took many sea turtles and tied them into a raft with the hair off my back. I still have the pistol and the shot. I refuse to use it except on one man." He tells me.

"Are you saying what I think you are saying?" I ask.

"it depends on your thoughts, darling." He tells me.

"Barbossa? He was the first mate?" I ask.

"Indeed he was. I don't tell many people this, but, I trust you. I care for you deeply, Anna-Marie Swann. I really do." He tells me. I grab his hand that was around my waist, and intertwine our fingers together.

"I care for you, as well. Your secret's safe with me. Don't worry." I tell him.

"I won't. I know I can trust you." He tells me, rubbing his thumb over my knuckles.

"Let go the anchor!" Jack shouts all of a sudden, leaving from behind me, his warmth leaving with him.

"Young Mr. Turner and I are to go to shore. Anna, you shall stay with the crew." Jack tells me.

"Absolutely not. My sister is in there." I tell him.

"Anna-" he begins.

"No, you can't fight me on this! I will help you rescue her. I will bring her home to Father in one piece, safe and sound." I tell Jack.

He looks at me, confused.

"You sound much like Barbossa..." He mumbles, but eventually agrees.

"Captain, what if the worst should happen?" Gibbs asks, before we leave. I look to Jack, wondering what Gibbs meant.

"Keep to the Code." Jack tells him.

"Aye, the code." Gibbs agrees, reluctantly.

"What's the code?" William asks me.

"For the first time, William, I have no earthly idea, and I'm afraid to say it's frightening."
