Who to choose

That Night

Mal's POV (night Evie left):

I could not believe it. Ben was so sweet. He did anything I wanted, and has never even tried to kiss me yet. I love Evie don't get me wrong, but maybe this whole time, I made myself believe it was real love, not just sister love, because I never got any love. But, Ben has showed me real love. Evie helps me get ready. Ben asked me, ME to be his plus one today. I could not believe it. It was a huge step for us, and the VKs. Evie finishes and I look in the mirror. 

"I look, beautiful." I say for the first time ever. 

I can see Evie look like she was going to say something, but then she doesn't. 

there is a knock on the door. Evie goes over.

"You look stunning." Ben says. he looks at me.

"Thank you." I say turning bright pink. 

He takes my arm, and we walk downstairs. He leads me to this beautiful carriage. It has two majestic black horses in the front, and the carriage itself was a dark blue, with gold and purple accents. The seats were red velvet. Ben opens the door and helps me in, climbing in after me. 

"Mal, I love you." He says as the carriage starts moving. 

"Me? why me?" i ask shocked. I mean, I loved him but Evie, how do i tell her?

"You are smart, beautiful, funny, and you showed me adventure." Ben says. 

I blush a deep shade of red. 

"Ben, I love you too." I admit. 

He leans over and places a soft kiss on my lips. I tense up at first, but then I kiss him back. we pull apart and I smile. The coach stops and Ben helps me out. He holds out his arm, and I take it. We walk together, down a red carpet, people on both sides bowing. I smile, and look over at Evie. Suddenly I feel a pain in my head. I gasp slightly at the amount of pain. Only one time had I felt that pain before. E? I ask trying to use the connection we have but it only echos in my head. Shit i think. She broke the connection? I watch as she runs out. I look over at Jay and Carlos but they shake their heads. I stand there in awe as Ben goes through his ceremony. It finishes quickly and watch as Ben runs out quickly. I go out to the gardens, mine and Evie's meeting spot.

I sat there for two hours before a sobbing Jay and Carlos showed up. 

"hey, whats wrong?" I ask. 

"SHES LEAVING AND ITS YOU! ITS YOUR FAULT!" Jay yells before running off. Carlos follows him to make sure he doesnt hurt anyone. 

Whos leaving? Evie. I cannot believe it. She is leaving me, us? What happened to the core four? And how is it my fault? All these questions run through my head as I stand there pacing. Finally Evie shows up. I can tell she was crying, but that didn't stop me. 

"WHAT THE FUCK EVELYN? YOU ARE JUST GOING TO LEAVE? YOU CAN'T JUST LEAVE ME LIKE THIS?" I yell.

"I have to Mal. Its better for everyone." she says

"EVERYONE? WHAT ABOUT ME? WHAT ABOUT US E?" I yell pissed off. She cant leave me, she cant. 

"There is no more us. Us is over, goodbye Mal." she says before running to the limo. 

"FUCK!" i yell as loud as i can. I wanted to break up with her, but not like this, not with her leaving. She was doing so well in Auradon. Ben runs over to me. 

"How could you Mal?" he asks shocked. 

"Ben, wait, please. I was going to end it. You have to understand, Evie was, I fell out of love with her when i met you, but I couldnt bring myself to hurt her like that, so I continued it. She was my best friend, i didnt want to hurt her like that." I explain. Ben starts walking away. "Ben, you dont understand! We had no love on the Isle, I need to feel something, even if it was never real!" I cry out. 

Ben turns around as I fall to the ground crying. He catches me, and holds me. He just holds me as I cry. 

"Ben, I only love you. Don't leave me please. Please dont leave me." I sob. 

"Shhh, its okay Mal. I love you too. I will never leave you, I promise." he says softly.
