April 30, 1972:
Raleena woke up as their rooster crows at dawn.

"Ah, morning time to record in my prayer journey. Dear God the Father in Heaven,
It's morning again!
And before I go do the chores and also have playtime,
I say, "Thank you....
For this brand new day."

She closed the book and tucked it under her pillow. It did not bother her at all to sleep on it. In fact she found the book's presence very comforting and soothing.

Tomorrow is my 4 years 1 month birthday. I'm happy to be growing older bit by bit so I can discover some adventurous roads on my own.

There's only two months left before the summer season hits us. I hope it won't be too hot or dry nor too rainy and damp. Mornings and bedtimes are currently my favorite times of the current days.

Back at the college Sophia Lowell woke up and she slipped from her bed onto her knees and in a pleading position.

"Dear God,
This day belongs to You.
Help me to remember this
In everything I say and do.
In the name of Jesus Christ
Amen."

Across the room Amelia was writing down her own prayer in a prayer journey....

Dear God,
It's morning again!
AFriday before I go onto work and studying hard,
I say, "Thank you for a new day."
In Jesus Christ's name
Amen.

Dear God,
I looked up at our flag today, so bright against the sky!
It made me want to shout and sing,
It made my heart beat high.
It seemed that it was signaling its thanks, dear Lord, to You,
That it could fly, in this free land —
And I want to thank you too.

It's morning again!
And before I go to study hard, I wish to say, "Thank you for a new day."

Wherever, Lord, my path is laid,
Wherever I may chance to be,
I shall walk tall, and not afraid,
Because I know you walk with me
And filled me up with your courageous fire and flames.
In Jesus Christ's name
Amen."
