A look into Lumina's Past
Many years before Harry Potter saved the world a young lady was just about to begin her own. Her name was Lumina Hastings. She had no ide she intherited powers from her own mother, Mrs. Minvera Mcgongall. Lumina had grown up away from her mother for years. She had lived alone with her father who never seemed angry or worried about her until now.
He knocked on her door. It was 6:00 a.m. in the morning.
"Why would father Rick wake me so early?"
"Lumina please open the door," stated Rick, her father.
Lumina slid out of bed and quickly opened the door.
"What is it, father?" I ask.
"I know you have wanted to know about your mother since last year. She has finally answered the letter." He whispered to me. "She had been answering to find out how you were doing. An owl dropped this off for you."
He handed her the sealed envelope.
The address had been printed clearly in my mother's hand writing.110 Sunset Manor
Eastern Alley Dr.I tore the letter open.

Albus Dumbledore"When did this arrive?" I asked. I didn't think I was a witch. I didn't want to be one. My father certainly didn't have magic. How could I possibly have magic?
"Just tonight. You won't be alone, Lumina. Hundreds of students all over the world get letters to go to Hogwarts by owl. I wouldn't lie to you Lumina daughter dearest."
"If I am a witch how come I don't notice my powers?"
"It is a fair question. Maybe you've not gotten upset enough to trigger them. Just think about it. I heard the students are nicer than the Muggle schools you have been to."
Muggle. I knew that word my father always used it around me.
Me? A witch? That is impossible!
