Chapter 4

(Phil's POV!)

I wake up, only to feel a warm embrace from behind me. I quietly look back, to see Dan hugging me tightly. I don't remember him choosing to sleep in here, but whatever makes him comfortable.

I crane my neck backwards so I can see him better. His hair falls perfectly over his face, and it almost looks like he's smiling. He looks cleaner, and happy.

I turn myself over, so I can see him perfectly. "Dan.." I whisper in a soothing voice to wake him up. "Get up dear..." His eyes flutter open, and I get to see his chocolate brown eyes close up.

He turns red immediately, but I give him a peck on the nose and sit up to stretch.

"I'm sorry Phil, I had a nightmare and I just had to come up here..."

"Shhh its okay.. No need to apologize." I place my hands on his shoulders and look into his eyes, and smile. He smiles too, looking at me, into my eyes.
I don't care if I'm not supposed to fall in love, I will anyways.

"You're so adorable." I say.

"Not as adorable as YOU!" he replies, right before pushing me backwards.

"Da-an!!" I struggle to push him off while giggling loudly, and he smiles and tries to keep me pinned down on my bed.

I push him up, but since our legs are all tangled together, we end up falling off of my bed.

"Ow!!!!!" I hear Dan yell. My stomach hurts from laughing so hard, and now my arm hurts too.

My door opens and I hear my dad. "Philip? Dan? Is everything alright?" We both pop up, so he can see us. Our hair is messed up and our pajamas are really wrinkled.

"Its not what it looks like!" I say, trying not to burst out in laughter.

"I certainly hope not," he says with a smile. "Breakfast will be done soon. Be sure to be downstairs."

As soon as he closes the door, Dan and I laugh again, covering our mouths so hopefully he doesn't hear. After a few moments, the laughter quiets and we look at each other again.

"You think you've won this war..." He says. And then he pounces back into me, making my back hit the floor.

"Owww Daaannn."

He just laughs and tries to keep me against the floor while I struggle to get up.

"I give up." I say, with a fake frown plastered on my face.

"Good." Then he leans down and kisses me. He moves his hands off of my arms and I put my hands on his back. He lays down next to me, and we just lie there, kissing on the ground, mouths closed, just kissing. I open my eyes, forgetting I had closed them, and see Dan's eyelids, unopened. My door opens and Dan hops away from me, and gets up as soon as our position allows.

"Breakfast..." I hear my dad say. Dan awkwardly nods, a bright pink covering his entire face. I stay hidden behind my bed, waiting for my dad to disappear, and after a few seconds of Dan's face getting redder and redder, he finally does. I stand up and hug Dan. "Let's go eat, yeah?" He smiles and nods.

"Okay."
