Bakugou and I went outside. I told the guards that we will be heading into town to the seamstress for our outfits. We went inside the massive shop, rolls of fabric were stationed neatly in thousands of rows. "Hi, what may I- OMG you're the Queen!" A little plump woman ran out from under her desk, which was scattered with half-made dresses. "It's such a pleasure to meet you!" She cried hysterically. "Um... yea, well me and my..." I paused, unsure what to say, "Me and my friend have come here in hopes of getting new clothing for the ball. She stopped dead in her tracks realizing that Prince Bakugou was here. "Oh.. Y-yes sorry," She stuttered, clearly uneasy about the fact that Bakugou was here. I looked over at him and he was back to his usual scowled and had his arms in a familiar cross. I nudged him. "Try and be more friendly." He shot me a glare. I stared at him unamused. He grumbled, "fine."
I sat there on the bench, hoping nobody would come into the forest, but lucky me! I heard footsteps behind me. "Hello!" A cheerful voice said, as they walked up behind me. I shot up out of the bench, and whipped around to look at the person. It was a girl (i think) and she had pink skin and hair, and was wearing a blue and yellow striped tank top and jean shorts She wore a pair of black and gray tennis shoes, and had things that looked like yellow horns poking out her fluffy hair. "My name is Mina Ashido!" She exclaimed. "Hi..." I responded. "What's your name? This must be your first time out here! I've never seen you before!" She got closer to me when asking her questions. She was just barely taller than me but in reality I am very short. "My name is Scarlett..." She smiled, and sat down next to where I was sitting. She patted the spot where I was sitting, and smiled. I slowly, and cautiously sat where she patted and sighed. "How far in the forest are we?" I asked. She shrugged her shoulders, "I don't know, where from? Tsu inn we're probably about a hour walking distance, the border about 15 minutes walking distance, that's where I came from, and the shore about 5 minutes'' She explained this all to me, and I guess the shore being so close is why A) everything was mossy and rusty, B) why it smelled like salt. She smiled and sat up, grabbing my hand and running East.
"Now what color are you guys wanting for your clothes?" "Um... I don't know?" I looked over at Bakugou and he had the same confused expression as mine. "Hmm." She said putting a finger to her lips, thinking. "You'd both look good in Emerald green." "Sure." She clapped her hands happily and ran off in the maze of fabrics. I shuffled uncomfortably. "So.." I said, clearly getting flustered by the silence. Bakugou just grunted and walked away leaving me all alone at the entrance of the store. I frowned. What happened to him!? We used to be childhood friends. HE was the most caring and kind. I remember once, when we were 6, we were playing in a citrus tree and I fell and scraped my knee and he brought me back into the house and bandaged it up himself. What happened to him!? I thought again. I shook my head and cleared the thought, I have to be focused. I have a job I have to do, I can't be confused with other things, especially Bakugou.
"Mina, where are we going?" I asked, as she drugged me along. She didn't respond and started to run faster. She looked back at me with a huge smile. I looked ahead, and there was a beach. She shells scattered across the powdery white sand. She ran ahead, and into the water without a second thought. I slowly followed behind her as she laughed and played in the water. Once I got to the edge of the water, she grabbed my arm and pulled me in the water. I laughed with her as we played in the water for longer. I wish Ayris was here, I thought. But I was content playing in the water with the pinkette.
The little plump lady came back from the maze of fabrics, carrying a bundle of different, vibrant shades of emerald. She struggled to contain them all in the arms. She hefted them onto the desk with a huff and slid away all her other current projects. "Well", she said, "We have a beautiful olive green, or a vibrant lime." She continued as she shifted through the stack. "Wait", I paused her, "What about that one?" I said pointing to a shelf behind her. She turned around. "Oh, those are very rare materials, they come from India." she pulled a gorgeous Juniper green. My eyes went wide. "Yes, I would like that one." Bakugou came back from wherever he was hiding and the nice lady took our measurements and cut the fabric. "The clothes will probably be done next Wednesday." "Ok thanks so much." "No, no, my pleasure" she said. We waved goodbye and left the cluttered store.
