All I could feel was the dirt on my skin. And ashes, I'd assume. I slowly lifted my dry eyes open, and I could not see much of anything. Everything was cloudy and dark. My eyes hurt, and I would assume because of the smoke. My arms hurt and so did my side. It felt like I broke a few bones, a rib and maybe my left arm. I tried to lift my left arm, but instead let out a shout of agonizing pain. Yep, broke my arm.
Pain. My entire body shuttered in excruciating pain. I tried to open my eyes but they felt so heavy so I gave up and closed them again. 'Where was I,' I thought. I don't remember anything from the past events. I took in a shaky breath, my lungs screamed in agony and I ended up coughing, leaving my throat stinging. I tried to open my eyes for the second time. The bright light was blinding but eventually they adjusted and I slowly came to my senses. 'Where the hell was I?!'
I tried to feel around with my good arm and based off my knowledge, I am pretty sure we are in the middle of a forest. I still can see, still have a shattered arm, and I'm pretty sure I still have a broken rib. I heard a cough beside me, "Hey" I tried to talk to them but I doubt it would work...
"Hey" a raspy voice called out. I rolled onto my stomach and pushed up with my hands. My arms started quaking from execution from holding me up. I still could feel the stinging in my throat and before I knew it I was cough up blood. I stared at the red liquid dripping from my mouth. "Hey!" the raspy voice called out again, this time a little louder. I turned my head over. A young girl around my age with purple hair laid on her back was looking at me. Her eyes were half-lidded and looked to be in a similar condition to me. "W-who, Where-?" I tried to speak but I slowly weakened and fell back into unconsciousness.
"W-who, Where-?" They tried to respond, but they immediately fell back into unconsciousness after trying to talk. I tried to sit up with my good arm, and it worked so I leaned myself against a tree behind me. With a final grunt, I was in a semi-comfortable position. I sighed, and closed my eyes, hoping it would restore them back to their original state.
Three days. That's how long I had been unconscious, I thought as I checked my watch for the date. WHAT!?! I sat up and looked around. We were in a completely different location from where we had been. A small fire sat in the middle of us. Bakugou had his eyebrows furrowed and was tending to the flames. Flames! I instantly remembered all the events that had unfolded. I groaned and rubbed my eyes. Bakugou's head shot up immediately. He was at my side in second. "Your awake!" Ya, I thought. My vision strayed from Bakugou and I found myself looking at a strange person I hadn't seen before. Purple hair?
I heard the person beside me grunt, and I heard quite a bit of moving, probably whoever was tending to our wounds. I opened my eyes, which now instead of dry were extremely watery, and in a matter of seconds, tears were escaping my eyes without my own consent, or reason. After all the tears were done, I looked around. Bakugou Katsuki, he was alive. He was the one who was supposed to die. I sighed, my sister was there too. She didn't die. This time, the tears that were falling on my face were real. I hadn't seen her in forever, and it pained me to know that I hurt her. This is my fault. I tried to stand up but immediately fell on my face. I cried out in pain, and the tears came down faster.
*Thump, The stranger that I was looking at had tried to get up but failed. I tried to stand to help her but Bakugou put a hand out to stop me. "Wait, your wounds are still healing." I looked down and he was right, I had a thick bloody cloth wrapped tightly around my arm. I hissed in a breath, up until now I was fine but the moment I saw the wound the pain settled in. "I'm fine." I stood up and my other arm. "See I can move this one just fine." I walked over and held my good hand out. "Hi, you ok?" The girl looked up at me with tears streaming down her face. "I-I'm so sorry." She cried out. I was taken aback. I sat next to her. "Hey, hey it's ok it's not your fault." I said trying to calm her.
"N-no, it is..." I slowly whispered. I looked at my sister, and smiled. She doesn't have a clue it is me at all. I want to make it so I can kill Bakugou as soon as possible, so that Ayris and I can rule together, and without a snooty prince. I looked around, and sighed. I could still smell smoke, but it was ok. I blinked the tears away, and smiled. I always wanted to be Queen, but I never wanted someone to get in the way, and take away our kingdom and the power we hold. I learned not to trust rich men for they like to steal power from young princesses and queens.
The girls face slowly started to become at ease. I sighed in relief and sat down next to her. Bakugou came over with some soup for us. "Here, you both need to eat." He handed us the bowls and I hadn't realized how hungry I was until I smelled it. It smelled delicious! I quickly scarfed it down, pleased. "Thanks," I rasped, wiping my mouth with my sleeve.
I was handed soup, and I ate it slowly, unlike my sister who, as always, scarfed it down as fast as she could. I finished not long after her. "Um, sorry for asking, but what is your name? I recognize you but can you tell me your name?" I asked her, I knew it was Ayris but I thought why not ask, it will lower her suspicion on the fact I am her sister.
