Her nude stilettos clicking against the pavement abruptly stopping when her gaze shifted towards him.
An unpleasant stranger.
Her lips formed into a smile at the sight of him before running into his arms. She soon forgot all about Avan's presence, since she was so captivated by the sight of her boyfriend.
His love for her increased the day he saw how much she respected and loved her boyfriend. She and Avan occasionally spent time together, those little moments were spent talking about the love of Liz's life― Unfortunately for Avan it wasn't him.
Those moments he spent with her he learnt about boundaries, he couldn't help but keep loving her. She was in love just as much as he was but with another person. He still had hope that she might finally return the same affection― She stripped that shred of hope
Life moved on from Avan, he continued to support her and love her from set boundaries.

Propping his elbows onto the table he placed his face in his hands, he realized what an idiot he had been, thinking that they could love each other ― that she would love him.

He frustratedly pulled on his hair, He had supported her, provided a shoulder for her to cry on, listen to her endless rants and share her happiness with her but all along she never really loved him as he loved her. She didn't pick him even if he was by her side the entire time.
