"Wow..." Ishimaru said, eyes still wide and fixated on the sight, "I-I've never seen Hell like this before!"
"Neither had I until Mondo showed me this place..... anyways! Could you roll out the picnic blanket for me?" Lonaca asked.
Ishimaru rolled out the blanket with a smile, and thought nicely to himself, 'Yeah, I just misjudged her, she's just protective of Mondo that's all... I'd probably be the same if I were in her shoes... I wish I was in her shoes.'
"Much appreciated!" Lonaca said, side sitting with one of her hands still on the bare floor. She pulled the basket a little closer to her, and grabbed some paper plates, passing one to Ishimaru as he sat down on his knees. She took out a bottle of orange juice and what looked to be a roast beef sandwich.
"I hope roast beef is alright! I also packed some croissants if that fits more to your liking," Lonaca scratched the back of her neck with an awkward smile.
"No- it's absolutely alright! Roast beef is fine!" Ishimaru insisted, taking the other sandwich from the basket as well as the other bottle of orange juice.
They ate in silence for the first few minutes, then Ishimaru decided to bring up a question that had been lurking in the back of his mind, "So... what's it like dating Mondo?"
Lonaca looked up at Ishimaru, thinking for a few seconds, "Well... for one he is like- really good at massages, which is very helpful in a place like Hell. He is also a massive cuddle bug, and he'd probably kill me for telling you that if I weren't his girlfriend haha!" Lonaca continued, "What else... he's a rough kisser which can be kinda gross, but whatever, and hm... he REALLY enjoys whenever we go on motorbike together."
'Crap. Why'd I ask that? It's only gonna make me even more in love with him- goddamn it Kiyotaka think before you ask!' Ishimaru's mind scolded him.
"Ah, how nice! The massage part sounds quite relaxing indeed," Ishimaru said with a smile, taking a sip of his orange juice.
"Mhm! I could probably ask him to give you one... but I don't think you'll be available," Lonaca said, her cheery attitude slightly dropping.
"Hm, what makes you think that?" Ishimaru asked, a slight nervousness shooting through his veins as he noticed the drop in her attitude.
"Well... I just had something planned that's all... and I have a gift for you as well!" Lonaca said, grabbing a slightly big item wrapped in a pink cloth from the white basket, "it's a very big surprise- it's something I wouldn't even give Mondo- so I do ask that you close your eyes!" Lonaca said, her warm smile returning.
Nervously, Ishimaru obliged, closing his eyes.
Thirty seconds of silence passed, before he heard Lonaca whisper, "Don't peek".
Blood/Violence warning for those who didn't read the TWs at the beginning of the book.
A white flash crossed his close eyes as he was suddenly slammed against the back of the wall, a cracking noise coming from the back of his head as the feeling of blood splattered against his neck. His eyes shot open, and he strained his eyes to look up at Lonaca, who stood over him, a black knife with golden lining in her hand.
'Oh no,' was all Ishimaru's thoughts had to say. He was so scrambled and disorientated that he didn't have a proper reaction to what was really happening, at that very minute, at that very second. In Lonaca's hand was a knife made of Black Gold, and there wasn't a doubt in Ishimaru's mind that she was going to kill him.
