After their talk with the band the night before, Willie and Y/N returned to the ghost club and reported back to Caleb in hopes that this would erase any suspicions he had about the two of them before heading to Y/N’s room where they discussed their next moves.

It was now the next day, and after a sleepless night debating what to do, Y/N was stood outside the Molina’s garage, plucking up the courage to go in and talk to Luke.

Taking a deep breath she steps into the garage to see that Luke was the only one in there. He was sat on the couch (AN : My Coooouuuuch), his guitar sat next to him.

"Luke?" Y/N pretty much whispered out, hoping it was loud enough for him to hear.

Luckily it was.

"Y/N, what are doing here?" He asks, standing up from where he was once sat.

"I-um-I came to apologise once again."

"Y/N it's fine. The boys and I have already forgiven you and Willie." Luke insists as he continues to walk over to her.

"I know, I know. It's just it's all my fault, he's my dad I should have stopped him and if I had you wouldn't be in this position, you wouldn't have to leave Julie and break her heart again. It's just all such a mess that I could have stopped and I'm so sor-" Y/N cries but is interrupted Luke pulling her into a hug.

"You need to breathe Y/N" Luke says, pulling backwards from the hug so that the two of them meet eyes. "Breathe for me, come on in and out."

As Y/N regains control of her breathing, Luke pulls her in close once again. The two of them hold this position for a while slowly rocking side to side.

"Thanks" Y/N says breaking the silence between the two of them. "My anxiety had just be building up for so long and talki-"

"You don't have to explain yourself to me, Y/N. I understand." Luke says interrupting her ramble once again. "Anyway I'm sort of used to it anyway being friends with Alex after all, especially now he's a ghost and can't take his anxiety meds." Luke continues, making them both chuckle, Y/N letting out a shaky breath she didn't know she was holding in.

"You're cute, I wanna get to know you better."

"Seriously Luke?" Y/N asks

"Yeah" Luke clarifies

"Even after my psychotic father stamped you with a curse that's gonna destroy your souls forever?"

"We are not our parents"

"Wow, it's beautiful" Luke comments, staring at the view in front of him

"Wow, it's beautiful" Luke comments, staring at the view in front of him.

"Isn't it just? Willie and I used to come here all the time when we were literally need to clear as heads" Y/N tells Luke.

"Wait you two knew each other when you were alive?" The guitarist questions.

"Yeah, me and him were inseparable and still are, so much that we even died together."

"How did you die? Don't worry if you don-"

"Lucas, it's fine." Y/N cuts Luke off before he can begin to ramble. "It was a couple of months after my dad had passed away after one of his magic tricks failed and Willie and I were skating along on a pavement. Suddenly something pushes me off my board into the road in front of an oncoming vehicle. Willie immediately stopped to help me and tried to pull me out the road but it was too late and we both got hit. Willie took the hardest hit and was pronounced dead at the scene, where as I can remember about ½ of an ambulance trip before it all went black."

"Wait you said something pushed you off your board?" Luke enquires.

"Oh yeah, it was my father." Y/N replies casually like she hadn't just told someone her father's ghost was the reason she and her best friend died.

"You're kidding me right?" Luke asks to double check.

"No, no I'm like 99% sure it was him. He's never straight up told me but he's dropped a couple of hints." She replies.

"Wow and I thought my relationship with my parents was bad." The male jokes, lighting the mood.

"Tell me about you Luke. I wanna know everything."

"Alright let's see."

Luke goes on to explain everything fro how Sunset Curve was his dream and how his parents didn't approve and how he ran away leaving his relationship with his parents in pieces to how they were gonna be stars playing the Oprheum and how they died 2 hours before the biggest show of their lives due to some dodgy hotdogs.

During his explanation, Y/N couldn't help but notice the way his mouth forms a little smile as he talks about his passions and the way a small hint of pain flashes in his eyes as he talks about his parents. She also notices how the city lights reflect of his face framing it perfectly. It was true she was falling for him, but at this point she couldn't care less.

"I just wish I had a chance to tell my parents that I'm sorry" Luke finishes, finally turning to face Y/N. Only now could she see the tears streaming down his cheeks.

"Why don't you ask Julie to visit them and give them the song you wrote, surely that will let them know everything you want to say?" Y/N asks, hand reaching to wipe the tears off.

"Y/N! That's such a good idea! Why didn't I think of that?" Luke exclaims, his hand reaching up to grab the hers as she pulls back from wiping away his tears.

"Honestly Luke where would you be without me?" Y/N jokes, interlacing Luke and hers fingers before turning to face the view once again.

The two continue to chat and joke around for the rest of the evening, and late into the night. For the first time in as long as Y/N remember she was happy and wouldn't change this moment for the world.
