Will’s POV
I sat alone in my bunk, listening to my iPod and writing in my notebook. I was writing a poem about the sunset on the beach and Emma,
The fire of sunset burned on the horizon of the ocean waves,
The only more beautiful sight were here eyes,
Her piercing bright blue eyes, surrounded by dark brown waves of her hair,
That framed her perfect face beautifully,
It was then I realized I loved her,
It was the first time I had written a poem about a person, so I was thinking hard about what to write next, when all of a sudden my bunks curtain was drawn back to reveal Adein standing in his swim trunks.
“We’re going down to the beach one more time before we start driving again,” he said, “You coming?’
I nodded and slid off my top bunk and went over to my bag and picked up my swim trunks and headed to the bathroom to get changed.
Emma’s POV
I walked out of the girl’s bathroom and looked around. In their hurry to get to the beach everyone had left a mess, and me being the only one left in the RV it was my duty to clean it up. I didn’t mind, I almost enjoyed cleaning.
I walked over and picked up Will’s bag and threw it on to his bunk. It landed perfectly in the middle but accidently knocked a notebook down. I picked it up and scanned the contents quickly, not really paying attention to what I was looking at until I saw one word.
Emma
And this one word happened to be the title of a poem called,
Beautiful Emma
Wow! William liked me!
I put the notebook back just as William walked out of the boy’s bathroom.
“Hey,” I said trying not to sound thrilled.
He nodded and turned to get his sweatshirt and then made his way to the front of the RV and went out the door. Well if he did like me, he sure had a weird way of showing it.
Will’s POV
I ran out of the RV and away from Emma. Yeah I liked her, but no way was I letting her found out. If I stayed there, alone, with her, for any longer I probably would have kissed her.
I ran toward the beach, and walked to the edge of the water trying to clear my mind. I turned around to see Emma running toward me. She was almost to me when she tripped on a piece of driftwood. She fell into me and I fell backward and landed on the sand with her on top of me. I couldn’t stop myself and kissed her, but she didn’t pull away.
“I saw the poem, your notebook fell off your bunk….”
