Adein’s POV

I sat on the edge my top bunk across from Claire who was sitting on hers. I had my acoustic guitar and was playing a “Like A Soldier” by Cady Groves, while Claire sang.

“It’ll be me on the front lines,

fighting for you,

taking it like a soldier,

with my heart on my chest,

and my badge on my shoulder,

woah yeah,

with a love that keeps me warmer,

in a world that makes us colder,”

Her voice was so pretty, and I loved to listen to her.  I sang some back-up vocals, but was concentrating more on playing the guitar part. We had been jamming for a good two hours as we sat in the RV while Matthew drove us up to South Hampton.

We tried to ignore Emma and Will kissing on her bunk. Will wasn’t a man of many vocal words, he liked action and poetry. I was the only one who knew about his notebook besides Emma, I found out when he helped me write a song for my band.

I looked back from the kissing couple and looked at Claire she laughed as she finished the last verse of the song,

‘cause I’m bleeding for you,

but the war’s finally over,

oh yeah,

with a lover that keeps me warmer,

when the world makes me colder,”

Just then Caitlyn walked back from the bathroom and started yelling at Emma about ‘The Kissing Rule,’

“I was timing that kiss Emma! That was not only over 2.5 minutes it was over 3 minutes! Are you even listening to me? Emma? Emma!”

Then Emma finally pulled away but only to say, “Caitlyn, I could care less about your stupid rule, now please shut up and let me kiss him,” then she returned to Will and started kissing again.

“Yeah Caitlyn, this is the first time this whole trip she hasn’t been bugging us to clean up our stuff,” Ashton said, mockingly.

Without breaking her kiss Emma raised one hand above her head and gave Ashton the middle finger.

“Wow, when did goody-two-shoes Emma, become such a badass?” Ashton said, sounding actually curious.

Emma stopped her kiss again to say to Ashton, “The same time your voice stopped sounding like my little sister’s,”

“Oh, that was cold,” Ashton said and came up behind Emma, who had gone back to kissing Will, and started tickling her. I laughed at them and started playing  “Rock & Roll” by Eric Hutchinson with Claire, I sang the see her parts, and she sang the he’s been parts, and we sang the other parts together.

“And in a wink,

they’re on the brink,

from drink to drink,

at the bar,

with cash to blow,

from shot to shot,

its getting hot,

advance the plot,

to see how far it’s guna go,

all depends,

so ditch the friends,

and grab a cab.

Another chance for cheap romance,

Does it really count,

‘cause the room is spinning?

Nothing to lose,

tonight they both are winning,”

Claire’s POV

We finished singing, and I walked across the RV and hopped up on his bunk next to him. I put my head on his shoulder and looked up at him. He looked down at me pushed my bangs out of my eyes and then leaned into me.

“Ooo, look at our other pair of lovebirds, Adein and Claire sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I…” but Ashton was interrupted by Matt, who called back from the driver’s seat.

“No bro, sitting in a bunk, F-U-C-K-I-N-G,” he said and they all laughed.

I blushed and moved to get down from his bunk, but he grabbed my hand and pulled me back up.

“I don’t care what they say we were in the middle of something,” he said with a impish smile.
