Ghosts Of Auroa

5. Ellie Ray

It's been 3 hours since the Ghosts escaped from the Wolves and started bivouacking in the cave. The fire's out and as the Ghosts sleep, they hear an explosion which wakes them all up. They get up and look around while Jamie stays put. Ryder looks outside the cave and then, another explosion is heard. Then he hears gunfire which is close. Then, he sees the explosion which is on the right, it's far from the cave, Ryder watches and he sees a woman running away from wolves which are shooting at her and she shoots back and manages to kill one.

???: "Dammit! Crap! Get away from me!"

*BANG*

*BANG*

Wolf: "AH!"

She runs down towards them and Ryder prones in case the Wolves see him, Jamie and tido back up and hide in the darkness and an explosion goes off, sending the woman flying in mid air and landing on the ground near the Cave. The Wolves check on her body before walking away and continuing their patrol.

Ryder then drags the woman's body into the cave and inspects her. He sees some dogtags and inspects them. The woman's head is bleeding and her left arm has a gash.

Ryder: "Ellie Ray. You're a Ghost too...I gotta patch you up."

Ryder grabs out his bandage and wraps up the woman's left arm and her head, giving her a bandage headband. He then drags her and sets her down against the cave's wall. Jamie and Tido check on her too.

Jamie: "Is she one of us?"

Ryder: "Yeah, she's a Ghost too. Her name's Ellie Ray."

Then, they hear groaning coming from her and she opens her eyes and looks around the place.

Ellie: "Huh? Wh-where am I? What is-

Ryder: "Hey, hey, it's ok. We're safe here, we're Ghosts too."

Ellie: "Thank goodness...those guys earlier, they're killing every Ghost on the island. They killed my friends, they're all dead."

Ryder: "We'll avenge our siblings-in-arms. Now, we must survive out here. And we also have a mission for the island's inhabitants. We have to get to a dock whcih I believe isn't far from here."

Ellie: "I-I see...AGH! My arm...it stings."

Ryder: "Hey, hey. Just relax, try not to move. Well...you get what I mean. For now, just lay back and relax."

Ellie: "Y-yeah. You're right. What's your name?"

Ryder: "Ryder, Ryder Kajika. My callsign's Grey Ghost. I checked your dog tags so I don't need any introductions."

Ellie: "Hm. I see, is anyone else alive?"

Ryder: "Just 2 other Ghosts behind me."

He points behind him and Ellie sees them. She smiles and she grabs her knife and looks at it.

Ellie: "I had to use this to fight my way through before I picked up a pistol I found on the ground. Those soldiers, they call themselves-

Ryder: "Wolves. Walker leads them. He betrayed us."

Ellie: "Walker? That ex-Ghost with a Southern accent? Dammit!"

Ryder: "I know. I don't know why he betrayed us, but he's up to something. Something big. For now, we bivouac here, tomorrow morning. Early, we continue our mission. You're free to join us, if you have enough strength of course."

Ellie: "Yes sir. Ngh..."

Ryder grabs his phone and plays a song on it and he whistles it while it plays.
