It was now Nini's turn. She slowly walks on stage; her hand linked together behind her back

"Any intel on this one?" Miss Jenn asks Carlos.

"Nini Salazar-Roberts. Harmless chorus girl. Usually plays farm animals and trees," Carlos replies.

"Okay, Nini, whenever you're ready!" Miss Jenn smiles.

"You've got this, babe! Woo!" EJ exclaims.

Nini inhales and exhales.

"Livin' in my own world didn't understand... that anything can happen when you take a chance. I never believed in what I couldn't see. I never opened my heart to all the possibilities, ooh. Thalia smiles at the camera.

"I didn't know she had that in her!"

"Thank you, Nini. I only needed 32 bars, but I appreciate your commitment," Miss Jenn smiles. "Okay, Thalia James?"

Thalia stands up and walks over to face everyone.

"How about her?" Miss Jenn asks Carlos.

"Thalia James. Junior. Again has had two leading roles here. She worked with some A-List producers and musicians this summer," Carlos replies.

"Okay, whenever you're ready," Miss Jenn smiles.

As Thalia is about to sing, the door opens loudly, and in runs Ricky Bowen. This all causes Miss Jenn to spill her coffee on the lights board, causing all the lights to go out in the auditorium.

"Oh, god," Ricky sighs, seeing what he's caused.

"Who are you?" Miss Jenn asks him.

"I'm Ricky... I'm here to audition," Ricky replies.

"We're all set on Troys. We need Chads. You can audition after the Gabriellas," Miss Jenn states.

"But I practiced the Troy songs and lines in the movie," Ricky debates.

"Troy would've arrived on time," Carlos states.

Ricky looks to Thalia for help.

Thalia looks to Alaina.

"A-Actually, um, Troy would've been late because of... basketball!" Alaina states.

"Okay, let me do the talking," Miss Jenn sighs. "Okay, Thalia, you can go after the lights come on. I don't want this to throw you."

"I-I'm not thrown," Thalia states.

Alaina hands Thalia's ukulele to her.

"Here I am again, the same old situation. Why does the guy thing have to be so complicated? I should've played it cool; instead, I made a fool. Oh, the things I do. 'Cause I'm young, and I'm dumb. I do stupid things when it comes to love. And even if I always end up crying. Well, you can't blame a girl for trying, oh oh. No, you can't blame a girl for trying, oh," Thalia sings.
