Oswald academy follows the Wiccan calendar, this is called the Sabbats which is what all students would follow, however, the Owls would also follow the Esabats since they are based off of the monthly moon cycle.

During the academic year there are several events that occur in the calendar, the first of which is the Clan ball which is planned by all of the clans leaders in order to celebrate the new school year. The first week of term (The week of the 7th of September) lets the first years fill in a two hour long test to see which clan they're going to be a part of when it comes to the ceremony before the ball. All of the students have to dress up in formal attire and the Doves put on a dance as they have done every year since the school opened. The first year doves will not have participated with the dance.

Other events that occur throughout the academic year would be; the Equinox (Autumn edition) or Mabbon, which is on the 22nd of september and celebrates the harvest, there's also Samhain which is similar to halloween and falls on the evening of the 31st of October and ends on the 1st of November, there's also the summer and winter solstice, the Winter Solstice which is also known as yule falls on the shortest day of the year (21st december). There is also the Imbolic which is the world waking up and that starts on the 2nd of February, the beginning of spring also known as Equinox (Spring edition) or Ostara starts on the 21st of March and May day starts on the 31st of April and ends on the 1st of May and celebrates the peak of spring and the energy levels. The summer solstice or Litha is on the 22nd of june and is the longest day of the year.
