Born Robert Earl Moore in Oregon, he changed his named to Ahmad Rashad while begin Islamic. His college teammate Dan Fouts wasn't too sure about the name.
After playing with the Cardinals and the Bills, Ahmad had signed with the Vikings. He was in the commercial with my sister Patty and Sammy White (I'll tell about him later) for the Country Kitchen restaurant. Ahmad's skills had become more incredible.
In 1991, he was the first Viking player to be as a special guest in my show "Maverine," which was the final episode of season one. He was with his ex-wife Phylicia, their daughter Condola and golfer Payne Stewart.
