Ron Yary was the powerful guy in a powerful way. When I was 10 years old, and my sister was 13, Ron was #1 in the draft, and the next year his college teammate O.J. Simpson was also #1. When we first met, Ron looks handsome.
When my sister was 18, she started dating Ron while he is married to his first wife and he finalizes divorced the next year to be with Patty. She was like Bo Derek and Farrah Fawcett. Ron started his photography career with his brother Wayne, taking school photos in California and he also takes pictures of Patty in Minnesota. They were the hottest couple until their split in 1982 before he last played with the Rams.
He lives with his current wife and three small children, including Jack, who was born after Ron was enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2001.
