RJ: what goes around comes around

Chapter 11

Ricky POV:

I still am dead confused.

WHAT is happening??

I have mostly recovered over the long weekend, but still in deep shock.

EJ hasn't called to explain anything, and I've called him so many times to apologize and try and clear things up with him, but no answer.

It has now been 2 weeks and I've still not heard from him. I try to move on, though I really can't. I can't think about anything but him.

What if something is seriously wrong with his family? A problem that he was misinformed on and blamed me?
At this point I really start panicking.

After school today I decided to finally do something. I walk over too his house, quiet anxiously the whole time. The cold breeze brushes over my face and made me shiver 🥶 more than I already have been.

I finally arrive at EJs House. I'm full on shaking.

I knock.

He answers.

"Hello" I say.

"Ricky, I don't know what else too say too you anymore. You know what you did, and basically ruined me and my family. You pretend like you didn't know anything but I'm done with it. I'm going too be the better person here and end this. I'm going to move on, and get too better things."

I'm speechless. "I-

He interrupts me.

"I'm moving Ricky, and I'm not coming back. I don't see a future where I can see you and do this anymore. I put all my trust into you and what I got out of it.... I'm just never going to get over. I don't know else how to phrase it. Goodbye Ricky."

The door slams.

I start to sob as I walk away.

I must text him so we can fully talk this over. I'm desperate to know what I can do to help him.
"Number blocked by user"

That's what my phone says.

I sit under a tree, without any clear vision of what was happening.
(End of middle school flashback)

a/n: sorry this is getting really sad. It will get better! Just a note this is the last chapter we will see of Ricky and Ej in middle school! We will soon go back to where we were in chapter 1, as juniors at East high!
