Together At Last

Chapter 26

Stefan and I stand in front of Blake waiting for him to explain. I can tell he's hesitant to tell me because Stefan is here. 

"Well?" 

"Well, I did some snooping around the past few days with some witches and I found something." He starts off 

"What did you find?" Stefan asks 

"Katerina wants Vincent dead and Damon resurrected, right? Anyway, the witches think they found a way to kill two birds with one stone." 

I stand there and a lot of thoughts are running through my head. 'Am I finally rid of Vincent?' 'Is this just a ploy to get my humanity back on?' 

"And you wanted to wait until AFTER the dance to choose to tell me?" I ask 

"It's not like you care."  Stefan smarts off 

"You're right, I don't." 

I walk off but not before Stefan tells me to stop. I turn back to him with a raised brow. 

"At least hear Blake out."  

I nod my head in agreeance.

"I'm just going to cut to the chase. Basically what we have to do is get Damon's body and Vincent into the same room. The witch performing the spell is going to trade Vincent's vampire life for Damon's. Then at that moment, we can kill Vincent, together." He looks straight at me 

"We need details, Blake." Stefan adds 

"Once the witch puts Vincent's vampire essence into Damon's body, he'll come back to life and Vincent will become human, i.e. he becomes weak and easy to kill. That way you'll get Damon back and I'll be rid of my brother forever. I just need one thing from you, Katherine." He looks back over to me

I urge him to go ahead with what he's going to say. "I'm going to need you to feel. If we are to do this, I need you to be in all the way. Physically and emotionally." He states 

"So this is a way to get my humanity back on. Are you in on this Stefan? I told you if you keep trying bodies were going to keep dropping." 

"What are you talking about? I'm not in on anything with Blake." 

"Katherine, this isn't a trick. Vincent killed your family, ruined your life, our lives, and forced us to give up our daughter. I want to kill my brother just as much as you do." Blake moves closer to me 

"There is only one way to get your humanity back on." 

"And what's that?" I ask 

"This." Blake runs over to me and snaps my neck

I wake up tied down to a chair by ropes and my clothes have been changed. 'I'm guessing this room is always used for vampire capture.' I laugh a little at my own statement. I hear the latch of the door open up and both Stefan and Blake walk in. 

"Good morning, Katherine." Blake greets me 

"How long have I been out?" I ask 

"About 12 hours. We've pumped you full of vervain so you're a little weak." Blake answers 

I look over to Stefan and put on the best acting face I can. "Stefan, are you really going to let him do this to me? The woman you love." I frown 

"I'll say, I didn't really agree with it at first but we need to get your humanity back on." He states 

"If you really loved me like I love you, you wouldn't let him do this to me." I pout some more
