Marcel's loft
'Why'd you come?'
Marcel crossed his arms in front of Elijah Mikaelson, who arrived on a mission and it made Marcel uneasy. 'I'm looking for a cooperative witch.' Elijah replied, looking around the loft with a certain distain for it's architecture.
'I don't know where Davina is, and given the fact that she's got your father on a leash, I wouldn't put her in the, uh, "cooperative" category--'
'Not Davina. Perhaps another witch? On another leash?' Elijah's sarcasm was a powerful thing and it had gotten on Marcel's last nerve for the last two centuries. 'What makes you think I got another witch?'
'Perhaps the daylight ring on your new librarian?' Elijah pointed to a new recruit of Marcel's named Gia, over by the book shelves. The two men eyed each other for a moment.
The Mikaelson Compound.
Astrid sat at her dresser picking out makeup shades and an outfit for the evening. Elijah had told her that dressing the evening to be a formal event would be the right thing to do and she strangely agreed. Hayley was sat behind her on the edge of the bed as the two chattered about anything and everything.
'Oh yeah.. Remind me again why we kept Oliver alive, Hayley?'
'Let's just stay we have our own little spy.'
Rosseau's.
'My name is Vincent, and, if you speak to me, you are, in fact, speaking to Cassie.' Finn pulled a daylight ring out of his pocket as he spoke, 'I offer this as proof.'
'So, if I decide I don't want to answer to number two in the chain of command?' Oliver questioned hesitantly.
He looked bored at the blonde wolf and sighed before rubbing his fingers together making the wolf wince in pain and it progressively got worse.
Mikaelson Compound.
'Oh?' Astrid raised her eyebrows at Hayley through the mirror before carrying on, 'I mean truth be told I'm not surprised, he always was a wryly little bastard.'
Just as Astrid found the right lipstick, Hayley's phone went off and she picked up instantly. When she hung up, she pulled Astrid out of her seat and downstairs.
'Hayley!' Astrid groaned as they got to the dining room where Klaus was surrounded by compelled waiters. 'Skip the salad course. Let's not make this dreadful evening any longer than it needs to be.'
'I second that opinion, love' Astrid cheesed when Hayley finally let go of her and she joined Klaus's side. He kissed her on the forehead lightly and noticed her hair, 'Haven't seen you like that in a while. You look stunning, darling'
'So, I guess letting Oliver live paid off. He just informed me your mother has a partner-in-crime... another witch.'
'And you waited till I was downstairs to tell me?' Astrid crossed her arms with a raised eyebrow and Klaus stated his opinion, 'Building alliances in her quest to destroy us, I imagine'
His comment made Astrid snigger as Hayley asked, 'Why does she hate you two so much, Klaus? She had six kids-- it's not like she doesn't have the maternal gene.'
Astrid winced at the conversation topic, knowing this story all to well as Nik looked down at his feet, 'Seven, actually. And, I think at one time, she loved us very much.'
He turned around and began to fold napkins in the hopes of hiding his true feelings from the women. 'One died before we were born.' Astrid answered for him.
