'Vincent.. Marcel here has put me under the impression that you know more about Eva then anyone else and I need to know what's going on. My step daughter and sister in law are in danger.' Astrid asked politely, the smoothness of her voice making Marcel wonder why she was being so nice. She brushed some crumbs off her brown jeans as Vincent emotionally prepared himself.

'The first of the kids went missing two years ago. Feels like a lifetime. I was, uh, clocking in: college, work, coven. Felt like a normal life. But, um, had this woman. Met when we were sixteen years old, did our first bit of magic together... it was so insanely intense.' Vincent began explaining the backstory behind the current Mikaelson dilemma.

'Eva was a wild beauty practicing a wild magic. And then the children began to disappear. First was a little girl named Amelie Dupree from Algiers. Then, Lou-Anne Hughes from the 9th, Nicholas Alseis from the Tremé... All young kids, all witch prodigies.' He made a "poof" motion with his hands, 'All vanished into thin air. So, I put together a posse of guys from each of the covens, but the killer cloaked the kids so quickly, our locator spells was useless.'

'But she was caught? Right? The Fauline Cottage.' Astrid asked again, enticed in the story. 'It was a fluke! I was able to slap a locator spell on one of the kids right after he got snatched, and I got nothing at first. And then a car, and then a face... But that face, man-- it was Eva. The love of my life. So, I caught her, confronted her... and then I saw the truth. She kept pleading with me.' he began mimicking her, '"Vince! Just three more little girls, Vince! Just three!"' Astrid began to put two and two together. Vincent said he put together a group of people from each coven. 9 covens.. she thought before realising and speaking her thoughts.

'To complete the Rite of Nines.'

'The Rite of Nines?' Marcel questioned but the Hybrid and witch seemed to be having their own conversation. Vincent looked shocked, 'How the hell do you know about the Rite of Nines?' Astrid replied, 'Your people used to be extremists back in the 30's.' She smiled when he seemed to know what she was talking about.

'Eva thought if she sacrificed a witch from each of the nine covens, it would create a new witch order in New Orleans. She would have been more powerful than any Elder... Any Harvest girl...' he elongated his last words, knowing the relation between the two and Davina Claire. Astrid fidgeted in her seat and Marcel asked another question, 'Wait, wait, wait-- but why kids?'

'Because their magic is untapped. It's pure. And, they're a hell of a lot easier to subdue.' Astrid looked sick, she couldn't look anyone in the eyes as she said it. Vincent realised he had shaken the pair and finished swiftly.

'I never found those kids. They died; unconsecrated, unable to be with our ancestors. Used as a source for Eva's magic.'

'So, help us find her before she takes any more lives, including Rebekah's.' Marcel asked and Vincent seemingly hesitated before agreeing. 'I'll be in my car. I think I know where she'll be.' Vincent left and as he did, Marcel went to get up but Astrid grabbed his arm, wanting to inform him of Davina. 'Marcel-'

'Tell me in the car.'

Lafayette Cemetery.

'I fail to see the need for these. I'm not your enemy.'

Niklaus had a plan. Whilst his wife was off doing one side of the dirty work, he was doing the other. They needed a spell to get Rebekah out of Eva's body and who better to ask then the mother of black magic? Klaus had dragged his sister into the tomb where he and Astrid had left Esther with shackles around her wrists.

'Oh, they're not to protect me, love! They're to protect her, the one who knows more about mind-invasion and body-jumping than all of us put together.' He smiled before throwing two blood bags into the shadows and Freya suddenly relaxed, more curious then anything. Finn had informed his sister of their mother's vampirism and she quickly realised who took the blood bags.
