The husband and wife returned home with their fathers and the two older men looked around. 'Nice place.' Jakob commented and Astrid looked smug. 'Elysium?!' Astrid called out to the Compound and the blonde witch poked her head around the corner. 'Oh god, new people.' Elysium mumbled to herself but Astrid heard it and giggled. 'Elysium, darling. This is Jakob Malraux, my father.' Jakob smiled at her and Astrid turned to Ansel, 'And this is Nik's father, Ansel.'

'Well, it's lovely to meet the two men who helped bring the two most psychotic people I've ever met onto the earth.' Elysium joked and Astrid sarcastically put a hand up to her chest. 'I can handle your psychoness, Astrid.' The witch then turned to Nik, 'You're on a different level.'

'Nice to see you too, Elysium.' Nik smiled amused and the two fathers looked fascinated at the character stood in front of them having not seen a woman act so open apart from the Malraux sisters. 'Where's Rosaline?' Astrid asked and Jakob looked at her in shock.

'She's still in Hayley's room. Come on I'll show you.' Elysium guided them and Astrid turned to Jakob, 'She's knocked out cold, come on.'

...

'Oh, Deryn.' Jakob dropped to Rosaline's side and he looked up at Astrid, 'What's going on?'

'Have you not seen Rosaline since you came back?' Astrid asked and Jakob shook his head. 'Rosaline came back in her body. From what she told me, her body was too damaged to come back in her own. Or something like that.' Klaus watched his wife interact with her family for the first time in a thousand years and smiled to himself, knowing the peace she must be feeling.

'I should wake Elijah.' Nik mentioned and Astrid looked up, 'Let me come with you.'

'We're saving Deryn tonight, father. I promise.' She smiled at him and stood up, took Nik's hand and walked out of the room.

Elijah's room.

'We were innocent once, Elijah.' Klaus stood by him with the merlock orchid in his hand, treating his brothers wounds. 'This bloodlust was forced upon us by our parents, turning us from prey to predator.' As he continued to speak, Astrid sat on the other side of him with a sisterly look of worry on her face.

'We're the demons lurking in shadow. We are the savage villains in fairy tales taught to children. But, not for my child. Not for Hope. In her stories, we are knights in shining armor. Without you by my side, I don't think I can survive my own love for my daughter. I need you. I need you, brother. The monster in me can only be challenged by the monster in you.' Klaus looked close to tears and Astrid looked up at him. The husband and wife had a sympathetic smile as he finished, 'Only together can we fight our demons and save our family.'

Elijah jumped out of his dreams and looked between Klaus and Astrid in shock, his grip on her hand suddenly becoming bone crushing as Klaus smiled at his brother.

' 'Lijah?' Astrid asked and the elder brother turned to her. 'Are you okay?' She questioned and he answered with a hug that she accepted gladly. The light that shone in Astrid's eyes made Klaus let go of a breath he didn't know he had been holding and Jakob came into the room. 'Elysium said it's nearly time.'

He made eye contact with Elijah and smiled, 'Welcome back to the land of the living, son.'

...

Astrid returned to the Abbatoir floor with a Mikaelson brother either side of her to see Elysium sitting cross legged at Deryn's head with crystals surrounding them. 'What is all this?' Elijah asked and Astrid eyed the stones. 'Tigers eye' she mumbled with crossed arms and the group looked up at her as she knelt down to examine them.

'Amethyst, Citrine Quartz, Selenite and moonstone.' She stood up, 'All peaceful crystals and you're using the Selenite to charge them aren't you?' Elysium looked confused as the hybrid listed off the crystals, 'How do you know all of that?'
