×××David pet down the horses, speaking quietly to them as he did. The mansion had been in full chaos since Seth left, the were searching for him wherever they think he'd go. No one knew that he wanted to live life as a peasant in a small village called Pyven, well, no one besides David. He hadn't even told Mary where he was going, he simply told her he was leaving.
"David?" Her angelic voice reached his ears. He looked at her and sighed. She was so beautiful, with blonde hair pinned up on her head, her little feminine body hidden beneath all of her layers. Although, there were becoming less layers as the seasons changed. She walked to him and took his hands in hers.
"Are you hungry? Agnes has dinner ready." Mary said, said swept some hair from her face. He nodded then leaned down and kissed his fiancé. She kissed him back, shyly as always. David chuckled and pulled away, pressing his lips to the top of her head. He stared into her eyes, his arms wrapping around her tiny waist. Her hands placed themselves on his chest and he grinned.
"Why are we waiting?" He asked, stroking her spine.
"What?" She said curiously.
"To be married? Why are we waiting? I can't stand another minute of this! Holding you and just idly sitting by waiting for summer to come! Let's just marry now. We can go down to Pyven and marry within days! Mary, I want to be your husband and I want you to be my wife. I want you." He cupped her face, stroking her cheeks. "Marry me."
Mary looked at him, then took his face in her hands. "What will we do for money? Where will we go?"
He smiled, it was not a no. "My home in Pyven, we can marry there. Everyone in the village will be estactic for a wedding to celebrate. I can get a job at the doc's place or the blacksmith shop. Obadiah would be happy to see me again, I'm sure. But let's just go, we'll go tonight! Be there by morning, and we can get married the next day. Please Mary, we have waited too long."
Mary didn't have to think for long. "Okay David, we'll go." He grinned and spun her around the barn. When he set her back down he kissed her.
"Good," He pulled away. "Let's go get ready."

Amity sat up on her hill, waiting patiently for her father and brother's to arrive home so she may leave to go to the river to meet Seth. She found she was actually excited, she wasn't sure if she was excited to be learning to read and write or if she was excited to be spending time with Seth.
"Amity? What are you doing out here?" Jethro asked, coming up on the hill beside his sister. She looked up and moved over slightly to allow her brother room to sit beside her. He did and looked at her curiously.
"I'm just watching the sunset." She said, fidgeting. As much as she loved her brother, she wanted to leave. He must have noticed her nervousness and reached out to take her hand.
"Amity, are you alright?" He asked in a concerned voice.
"Yes," She cleared her throat. "I'm fine. I will see you inside?"
He looked at her and nodded slowly. "Yes, alright."
She stood and nodded at her brother. "I think I am going to wash up before I come in for the night."
Jethro was on his feet in a second and reached out for his sister's shoulders. "You be careful, you never know what is out there Amity."
She smiled at her overprotective brother and chuckled. "Oh Jethro, you worry too much. I'll be fine." Seth will protect me. Her unspoken thought finished.
