Izuku's pov

"Todoroki, you really didn't have to do this," I said as I stood on the roof of the dorms about 30 minutes before dawn.

"I know you crossed it out and I'm aware that we're just friends," I blush slightly at what he said, but tried to hide it as he continued. "So I have a surprise arriving for you in a few minutes. I know that it was crossed out, but it was still on the list."

I smile at him and hug him gently. I think he's getting used to the affection because he was quick to return it.

"So...what's the surprise?" I heard the elevator doors fly open and heard complaining coming from behind us.

I turn to see Kacchan getting off the elevator. I felt myself instantly start blushing.

I quickly look back up at Todoroki and see him smirk.

"The hell IcyHot."

"Just sit up here and watch the sunrise with minimal complaining, please."

"Fine."

Todoroki smiles at me then left. He winked at me before the elevator doors closed and I blushed once again. I turn back around to see Kacchan sitting on the railing. I lean on the railing beside him.

It took a minute, but I finally decided to say something.

"You know, you could fall if you're not careful." He didn't deem me worthy of a reply seeing as he just made a dismissive noise and turned away.

I sighed and looked over the side of the building at the view. The sun would be rising soon and then Tuesday would officially start and busybodies would fill the campus.

"How did Todoroki even get you to come here?"

He was quiet for a minute before he sighed and said, "He offered me something in return."

I look at him with a raised brow, waiting for a response. When none was given I said, "Could you elaborate? Only if you want to, I was just wondering how he convinced you to sit up here with me."

"Look nerd, I am being offered something to just sit here and watch the sunrise, talking to you isn't part of the deal."

"Okay. Sorry."

I glanced at him from the corner of my eye every now and then. He has a nice jawline. I wanted to press a kiss to it just to see how he'd react, but I don't want to be inconsiderate.

Besides, he doesn't even feel the same.

"The hell you staring at fucking nerd?"

I jumped slightly at the sound of his voice and turned away from him. "Nothing. I was just...thinking I guess."He talked to me without me having to talk to him first at least. That's good. That sounds like some progress to me.

I smile as I watch the sun start its slow climb across the sky. The rays from the sun were making the sky a beautiful shade of pink, blue, and orange with the navy background of dark night sky.

It was beautiful.

The rays reflecting in Kacchan's hair was beautiful. I glanced at him every so often as the sun lit up his features. He looked beautiful with the rays of sun hitting him, making him look stunningly and strikingly handsome.

I felt my phone buzz in my pocket.

I reluctantly pulled my phone out of my pocket and checked it. It was hard pulling my eyes away from Kacchan but...I eventually did.

Todoroki: I'm not pushing you, but now would be a good time to tell him how you feel

Me: I'm not doing that

Todoroki: It's up to you whether you do or not. Just think about whether that's something you're gonna regret not doing before you die.

Todoroki: It was on the list

I didn't reply after that. I mean, he wasn't wrong. It was something I wanted to do...but I think I have a plan as to how I'm gonna do that.

I smile a little and lean on the railing again.

I tried to keep my gaze away from Kacchan but only because I saw him glancing at me out of the corner of my eye. I didn't want to make awkward eye contact and scare him away.

After the sun finally turned the sky blue, Kacchan hopped off the railing and turned to face me. I looked back at him.

He opened and closed his mouth a few times, maybe trying to come up with the words but maybe he decided against saying anything. He made an annoyed sound and shook his head, stuffing his hands into his pockets and walking towards the elevator.

I stayed on the roof for about 10 minutes before Todoroki came looking for me.

"So how'd it go?"

"What did you offer him?"

"What?"

I turn to look at him before saying, "He said that you offered him something to come sit on the roof with me. I asked him what and he wouldn't say."

"I didn't offer him anything." It took a moment for that information to sink in.

"Wait...what?"

He shrugged his shoulders and came up to the railing, leaning his back against it. "I told him that you would be on the roof watching the sunrise and asked if he would sit up here with you. He never responded but I assumed he'd show up."

I blushed a little and Todoroki huffed in amusement before lifting a hand to ruffle my already messy hair.

I was about to say something when he withdrew his hand and hissed in pain.

Oh shit. I forgot he had hanahaki.

"Todoroki! I'm so sorry, are you okay?"

He grunted before forcing his shoulders to relax. "I'm fine," he sounded pained when he said it like that.

I try to wrack my brain as to what to do. He would be in immense pain for a while but with the way hanahaki disease progressed, he has a month, maybe two at best. But they would be two months spent in pain.

"I could get you some of Mimi's pills so at least you wouldn't be in pain while you have it. Do you want me to do that? I should probably get some for Kacchan as well but you'd have to give it to him because I don't think he wants me to know he has hanahaki..." I started to ramble but I couldn't stop. It was just way too much for me to think about and keep in my head.

I heard Todoroki chuckle and I immediately started apologizing for being so annoying.

"It's nothing to apologize for. It's cute when you mumble." I blushed when he said this and looked at the ground in embarrassment. "If getting some of Mimi's pills isn't too much to ask for, I'd like some. I'm not going to start using them until the pain gets too unbearable though."

I nod my head and text Mimi, asking for a few more bottles for Todoroki and Kacchan. She says she'll drop them off at the main office later today and I thank her.

"We should probably start getting ready to head to class."

"Yeah, we should," I agree, a slight blush still dusting my cheeks.

I follow Todoroki over to the elevators and head back to my dorm, getting ready to start the day.
