Chapter 19

Posting this one early because I've been really busy and if I don't post it now then I won't have more free time to do so until Sunday. Also, it's a bit shorter because I've been extremely busy with Christmas stuff. Sigh, I really hate Christmas, anyways, hope you guys enjoy and sorry that it's a short chapter.

Izuku's pov

I quickly fumble with my phone and turn the alarm off. Shit shit shit. I don't have the medicine with me. I left it at the bonfire with my extra shoes.

It's okay, it's fine. Taking it a bit late won't hurt anything. I'm fine. It's okay.

I look back towards Kacchan and see an evil smirk on his face.

"Mina," I whisper as quietly as I can. "I think we should run." She nods and we both bolt out of the bush with Kacchan hot on our tails.

I think I'm having a panic attack. Maybe it's an anxiety attack? I can't get air to my lungs and I'm freaking out over the pills and oh gosh I just need to focus on running and getting away from Kacchan.

I felt a sudden sharp pain in my leg as I fell to the ground. I quickly stood up and continued running alongside Mina until an angry Kacchan blasted himself in front of us.

"Found you."

He blasted an explosion at us and we quickly dodge it while I try to push him back using One for All.

Mina blasts her acid at him but he dodges and I try to punch him but miss as he grabs my arm and flips me onto the ground.

I try to focus my blurry vision but can't get it to focus. I try to coax air into my lungs but the air is like a poison that just makes the pain worse.

I blink hard and get my vision back to semi normal. I stand and fall almost immediately.

I have to help Mina.

I force my legs to support me as I run over to where they are and harshly collide with Kacchan as Mina stumbles back from trying to dodge one of his blasts.

We end up a few feet away, tangled in each other's limbs. I blushed a little and felt another sharp pain in my lungs that caused me to collapse to the ground again.

I have to help Mina.

Kacchan gets up and makes a dismissive sound as he fires at Mina again.

I swipe his legs out from under him and run back to Mina's side as he gets up and fires an unexpected blast at us.

I push Mina out of the way and almost dodged the explosion. It graces my arm barely, causing a stinging sensation that is quickly drowned out by the pain in my throat and lungs.

Shit shit shit!

I land on my knees as I grab and tear at my throat, trying to get air in. I start violently coughing and swallow the flowers trying to escape.

My stomach burns as I grab my phone and quickly call Todoroki. I see that he's answered but can't hear anything through Kacchans blasts at Mina and my coughing.

I hang up after a few seconds and try calming my breath.

I shakily stand up and lean against a tree as I fire One for All at Kacchan. He gets hit but it doesn't do much damage since I'm so weak right now.

Kacchan turns to me and is about to fire off an explosion when a sudden wall of ice shoots out between us.

Todoroki is instantly at my side and hands me a bottle.

My pills.

I try to open it with my hands but they are shaking too badly. He opens it and hands me one which I swallow dry.

I sink down against the tree and try to control my breathing. Maybe if I can just get my breathing down then the pain will fade quicker?

I control my breaths and the pain is gone after a few minutes.

I look back up to see Kacchan, Mina, and Todoroki all looking at me with worried expressions.

I smile shyly as I stand back up and nervously laugh a bit.

"Are you okay?"

I look at Mina and smile. "Yeah, I'm fine. Kacchan knocked the wind out of me, that's all."

She nodded her head and smiled back at me.

Todoroki looked like he was about to murder Kacchan and was further infuriated by my excuse. Kacchan just gazed off to the side, unimpressed by the whole conversation.

I pull out my phone to see that the chat was already up to date on what had happened.

Kacchan: I caught the fucking nerd IcyHot bitch!

Iida: Todoroki, Tsu, or Aoyama has to tag them for them to be out Bakugo

Kacchan: I FUCKING KNOW THAT! ICYHOT JUST SHOWED UP AND TAGGED THEM

Tsu: Iida and Uraraka are the winners!

Uraraka: Yay! Meet you guys back at the bonfire!

I put my phone away and started walking back to the bonfire, chatting with Mina about how much fun we had. Todoroki and Kacchan were walking a bit slower behind us.

At one point I turned and saw that they were no longer there.

I wonder where they went?
