Todoroki's pov

Me and Bakugo were pushed out of the room and were told to wait there by a nurse. We both had tears still streaming down our faces.

Were we in time? I would like to think so because the heart monitor showed it steadying and his breathing patterns were returning to normal...but were we?

I'm snapped out of my thoughts by a nurse who looked similar to Recovery Girl but taller with blue hair walks out.

"You two follow me," she said as she tiredly led us to a room with a couch and a chair facing said couch with a glass table separating them. "Please, sit," she instructed as she herself sat in the chair. I glanced at Bakugo as we sat on opposite ends of the couch and then back to the nurse.

"As you two know, Izuku Midoriya has Hanahaki Disease. Your teacher, Shota Aizawa informed us of what he thinks the situation surrounding you three is. He said you both also have Hanahaki and you three must have loved each other. Is this correct?"

I looked at Bakugo and he looked at me. We've both collected ourselves a bit so we were no longer in full-blown tears, but...just barely.

Looking at Bakugo, I wanted to punch him...but I guess I was as much to blame as he was. Midoriya was dying because he also loved me and I was too cowardly to say something.

We both almost killed him.

We owe it to Midoriya to at the very least put up with each other. I looked at Bakugo and he seemed to have the same realization as me.

We sent a slight nod to each other before turning back to the nurse and nodding our heads.

"Well...that's good news. He should make a full recovery, he was in and out of consciousness for a bit and he happened to be conscious when you confessed. If he hadn't been, we would have been forced to do the surgery."

"He didn't seem conscious when we confessed," I said as I tilted my head slightly to the side.

"He had just closed his eyes when you burst in so he wasn't fully out yet. As I was saying, due to the severity of his condition, it'll take some time for him to heal. Three days minimum. The most it'll take him to recover is probably around two to three months."

"Wait, three MONTHS!" The nurse nods her head at Bakugo's outraged exclamation, I looked down at my hands as Bakugo did the same. We've put him in the hospital for anywhere between 3 days to 3 months. We did that...maybe love is cursed, just as father told me when I was younger...

"It seems you two have a lot to talk about. I suggest that in his recovery time, you two figure out a way to deal with each other. From the looks of it, you don't seem to be fond of the idea of being in the presence of the other. But when Mr. Midoriya awakes, he'll need that.

"This process is just as hard on you two as it is on him. Be patient with each other and yourselves." She glanced between us and I looked at Bakugo. He had his arms crossed and was leaning back against the couch.

"Okay, I'll leave you two to it. You have been given permission from Mr. Aizawa to skip the rest of the day of school but he has asked that you spend it together," with that, she stood up and left.

We didn't move for what felt like hours, but when I checked the clock it said lunch should have ended 10 minutes ago, so we couldn't have been there long.

I sigh before saying, "Bakugo, we need to talk."

"Tch. I have nothing to say to you bastard."

"Bakugo...we have to get along. I don't know how, but we need to. Midoriya will need it when he wakes up."
