today we got your stuff from your parents house

you were really nervous 

you started shaking as soon as we pulled into the driveway

i tried to calm you down but it didn't work

you started to panic 

i told you to breathe slowly and follow my breathing 

you started to calm down as i put my hands on your cheeks and wiped your tears off your rosy red cheeks

when we walked up to the doorstep i held your hand and squeezed it to let you know that everything was going to be ok

you knocked on the door and your mom opened it

she pulled you into a tight hug and started balling her eyes out

she kept apologizing for never noticing how much you were suffering alone

she said how she missed you and how worried she was

you hugged her back and cried with her 

but you were crying happy tears

and you were smiling 

you were happy to get your mom back

you asked where your dad was

your moms smile dropped 

you asked her what the matter was

she started to cry again 

but they weren't happy tears

"ji... your father passed away"

you froze in your spot, not able to move an inch 

you started to cry again

i've never seen you like this before

and it broke me 

it made me realize.......
