café AU part 5

*Ash had gone to make the hot chocolate*

*Eiji's POV*

"So then uhh Eiji was it?"

"Ah yes that's me"

"Thought so, so how did that one get you here? Don't tell me he bribed you with something dirty!"

"OI SHORTER UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY DOUBLE NO TRIPPLE THE PRICE FOR YOUR HPT CHOCOLATE I WOULD ADVISE YOU WATCH YOUR MOUTH!"

"Hehehe anyway if you wouldn't mind answering ignore the angry lion there."

"Ah well I um kind of forced him to hire me-"

"YOU FORCED HIM?! YOU FORCED HIM TO, HE'S NEVER HIRED ANYONE BEFORE"

I looked at ash who wasn't listening to us, but if he'd never hired anyone yet he needed help why hadn't he put up a sign or anything like that?

"Well one way or the other if he hired you, you must be one heck of a special person, he won't just hire anyone he's a real picky bastard and everyone ends up running away from hi, because he looks 'scary'"

"He looks scary? He looks pretty normal to me"

I heard ash walk over with the hot chocolate

"Have you even introduced yourself or do I need to do everything for you?"
"AH SHUT UP YOU GRUMPY OLD MAN! Ugh anyway i'm shorter I've known ash since I was a kid and own the tattoo shop next door, if you ever need a tattoo or piercing done i'm your man!"

He was grinning very smugly and ash was rolling his eyes

"So how old are you Eiji?"

"Oh i'm 18"

Shorter choked on his hot chocolate

"18?! YOU LOOK 16!"

"If you need I have my passport as pro-"

"NAH NAH WHAT GOD GAVE YOU THOSE YOUNG LOOKS?!"

"Shorter that's enough, you have to open soon don't you?"

"SHIT I DO," he grabbed his hot chocolate and made a dash for the door, "See ya later and it was nice meeting you Eiji!"

And with that he left

"Lord he has no manners, he hasn't changed a bit!"

I chuckled a bit then started thinking again about how shorter had said ash had never hired anyone else and if I was 'special' then what was that specialness and how come only he could see it. Back home I was considered clumsy, I was average with average grades at average high and I lived an average life. My train of thought was cut off as I had a hand waving in front of me.

"Huh?"

"God what did he say to you? Did he scare you? Next I won't let him in and i'll charge him double"

"Oh no no no there's no need! I was just thinking that's all!"

"You sure? If there's something on your mind it's better to just say it instead of keeping it bottled up."

"W-well he mentioned that you'd never hired anyone before and he said that I must be 'special' when really i'm just an average person, I have never done anything special and have never overachieved here and defiantly not in japan either. I don't see what is 'special' about me if there is something."

"Woah woah woah first off yes I have never hired anyone before because well uh" he started fidgeting around and messing with his hair "I don't usually work well with others and I don't agree with people often you know? I hate people telling me what to do and then when I try to work with people they just get on my nerves. But for some reason, when you walked in it was like all of the worlds problems had just disappeared. You looked like someone from heaven and it was peaceful. You looked and still look like a really kind person and you look like someone who isn't dumb and won't say stupid things you know? I can't really explain it but your different from everyone else, and you were really eager to work here so I couldn't really turn you down so, I guess it is as shorter said you are 'special'. You have this almost like this spark to you that I've never seen before."

Then he stopped and slapped his hand to his mouth and started moving backwards

"Oh my god I am so sorry that sounded so wired i'm just going um I, I have to check something real quick!"

And with that he ran into the staff office before I could say anything. I could feel my cheeks burn and flush r a vibrant red colour, is that really how he felt? I mean no one has ever thought let alone said anything like that to me before. I mean he is a really nice person and is amazing to be able to run an entire café on his own and his golden hair always shines in the sun and his green eyes look like emeralds look so- wait- WHAT AM I THINKING?! I felt my cheeks burn even more.

Ash POV

I ran into the staff office. wHY DID I SAY THAT OUT LOUD?! I was so embarrassed. To say I had only known him for 2 days, my feelings towards him had grown a lot faster than I though. Wait. Feelings? I had never liked anyone before, so why now? Why am I feeling like this now? And to the same gender? Well that didn't really matter to much but I had never liked someone like this. I had never felt like this, whenever he is around I feel so much happier, the room seems brighter when he's here, when he speaks I could listen to him for hours with that voice, his hair looks so soft and fluffy, his eyes look like chocolate and always seem to sparkle. I had never felt like this not towards a girl nor a boy so why now? All of this was almost exhausting. I'll have to ask shorter as now I had to get back to work.
