café AU part 4

Ash POV

"welcome back stranger, I hope your ready for morning rush hour"

I am never up this early and he had messaged me at 4:30, if it was anyone else I would have told them to fuck off but he is an exception. He looked cold even though he had a hat on.

"Come on in you look like a lost puppy standing out there like that"

"Ah thank you! I'm still not used to the weather here and forgot a coat"

"If you need a coat I have one you can keep"

He looked up at me as though I were mad

"Y-your my boss I can't just take you coat"

I chocked on my laughter as I had never heard someone say anything like that so sincerely to my face, and within a second I was laughing uncontrollably

"A-ash are you okay?"

"YES YES EIJI I'M FINE" I replied wiping away a tear that had formed from laughing to much "good god I haven't laughed like that in a while, its just no one has ever said something like that gah anyway coat I may be your 'boss' but in this café it's more like a family if you get what I mean"

He looked at me with sparkly eyes, "The people here are a family! That is so cool!!"

"Everyone here knows each other and if one of us is in trouble we put our personal lives aside and help, its nice to that sort nice to have that sort of reassurance. Even if they have only seen each other once its what they do and-"

I stopped and looked at him he was staring right at me, I felt my cheeks burn a little

"Uh anyway come on I need to give you your uniform"

He snapped out of his gaze and his cheeks flushed red stumbling on words, I chuckled a little as we entered the staff room.

*Time skip*

Eiji POV

"And that is how you use the coffee machine"

"I can't believe its that simple, it looks so complicated with all of the buttons but it's easy"

"Yep but if you find it easier you can make it by hand, I usually make it by hand because the customers seem to like it hand made. Something to do with making it with love but it's most likely the coffee brand. Anyw-"

"Everything tastes better when made with love!"

I didn't even realize I had blurted that out, I slapped my hand to my mouth as I could hear ash giggling

"I-i'm so sorry I didn't mean to-"

"Would you like to try the coffee machine coffee and my coffee then?"

"H-huh?"

"If you don't want to you don't have to, you said it yourself things taste better when made with love, I want to test that theory out."

"Okay sure but shouldn't we be worried about customers?"

"Oh don't worry the first guy who comes in in the morning is one of my closest friends he's basically my brother and won't care, he'll probably seem quite intimidating but he's a doofus and actually has a collection of teddies in his room"

"He has a collection of teddies in his room? How old is he"

"Oi oi ash that's a bit mean, talking behind my back that's a bit low for you now isn't it"

The voice was a lot deeper than mine maybe even a bit lower than ash's and sounded very scary

"Ah there you are Shorter your late god damn it!"

"Well some of us like their sleep, now who's pipsqueak here"

"This is eiji he's from japan, Eiji WOAH EIJI YOUR PALE"

"Huh?"

I could feel myself trembling, this guy had sleeve tattoos piercings and a mohawk he was wearing spiky platform boots and looked like he w=could tread on me and i'd be squished like a bug

"Eiji I know how shorter looks but he won't hurt you I promise. Hold on oi shorter do you have one on you?"

"What you mean Mr snuggles? Oh hell no you are not having him again not after last time"

"Oh shorter it was an accident"

"YOU SPILT COFFEE ON MR SNUGGLES HE DID NOTHING WRONG!"

"Shorter come on man this isn't-"

"NAH ASH YOU SEE THIS?!"

He had got out a small pink teddy bear from his pocket

"YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO TOUTCH HIM YOU HEAR ME!"

A sudden sense of relief washed over me and then I giggled a bit

"See Eiji? A man who carries a pink teddy bear will not harm you"

"I WILL- wait a damn minuet...Ash don't tell me you pissed me off on purpose so I could get mr snuggles out"

"How else was I meant to convince Eiji that you wouldn't kill him? You love kids but strut around with platform boot tattoos of skulls and piercings you aren't exactly child friendly"

"HOW DARE YOU KIDS..THEY..FUCK YOU ASH WHERES MY HOT CHOCOLATE WITH CREAM AND MARSHMELLOWS"

hope you enjoyed this it took me an hour to write next chapter there will be more shorter, now question is what other characters would yall like in comment them and i'll add them in as customers or as a different like café where they are rivals or something
