*There are still some things implying sex at the beginning, but nothing 18+*
Kusuo was panting as he fell to his side, as was Kokomi, although her breathing was more steady than his. He put an arm over his eyes, and tried to slow down his gasping. The two lay next to each other, just listening to the other's breaths. Once he was stable enough to talk again, Kusuo shifted to look at Teruhashi and spoke to her.
"Hey.. are you ok?" Was all he could muster between inhales and exhales. He truly did care about how she was, after all, she was new to this. He had been the one to deflower her, and he was worried he had been too rough.
"Yeah, I'm ok, I just.. need a minute." She said, mimicking Saiki's motion with her arm on her face. Truthfully, she was not the perfect pretty girl that everyone assumed she was. But she did fit one stereotype; she was physically fragile. To most, if not all of the other men at school that raved over her, this feature was attractive. Since it made them appear more muscular, they adored her slim physique. However, Saiki couldn't care less about her body. He was only attracted to personalities, although he did enjoy intercourse on occasion. Teruhashi appealed to him because he needed someone who was fun-loving, or at least more so than he was. And at heart, Kokomi was just who he desired.
Kusuo leaned over to the nightstand next to his bed, and tilted his phone towards him so he could get a quick look at the time. The end of the world wasn't really what he wanted to be thinking about, but he had lots of anxiety, and he was fiercely sharp, so he couldn't exactly let the thought leave his mind. He sighed, and peaked at the time. 8:56 A.M. He smiled a little to himself, there was more time left than he thought. He hoisted himself up in a seated position, and examined the room to find where he had left his clothes. Craning his neck, he took another look at her. Even as much as he wasn't concerned with bodies, Saiki knew that Teruhashi was gorgeous. Her delicate limbs, her curves, everything. She was graceful and in good taste even nude. Her eyes locked with his, and she sat up as well. She removed the sheets that were covering both off them, and stood on the carpet. Saiki did the same, and they went off in opposite directions in his room to dress.
Kusuo was the last to finish putting his clothes on, and when he came out of the room he was changing in, he was kissed once again. He had the same reaction as before, his stomach fluttering and his face burning red. He took his lips off of Kokomi's, and mumbling a bit, asked her;
"Do you want to.. go to the café down the block.." For someone who had just had intercourse, he certainly was shy.
"Sure, are you ready to go?" She questioned, since he looked sort of pale.
"Yeah, just one thing." He responded, moving away before she could, and probably would have asked what it was.
He slid into the bathroom and locked the door, before dropping to the tile on his hands and knees. His throat was in pain again, but this time he just couldn't refrain. He made a small noise, and tears fell from his eyes. He broke down shaking and sobbing, and the ache in his throat got much worse. He gritted his teeth, he didn't expect the immense pain would get like this. He wasn't sure what pushed him over the edge, it was all just so loud. Everything that happened that day was too much to handle, the pressure was too great too simply ignore. Saiki was angry, disappointed in himself. He promised himself before, that he wouldn't break today, but he wasn't prepared for all that would happen. Defeated, he gave up resisting to cry. He thought he was being quiet, but Kokomi was able to pick up the pathetic sounds he made. She cautiously tried to turn the door handle from outside, but it was locked. She banged on the door, growing more concerned by the second.
"Saiki! Open the door, please. You don't have to hide this from me!" She sounded scared already, but inside she was more terrified than Kusuo could ever comprehend. He didn't reply, but after a few seconds the door unlocked with a clicking sound. Teruhashi ripped open the door, and without even looking at him she fell to the ground to hug him. She ran her fingers through his hair, and he became a bit less stiff. She took her arms away but still had her hand on top of his, and tearfully, she said;
"Saiki, you never, EVER need to hide your feelings from me. If something is wrong, just say so. It's not heathy to bottle it up."
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I didn't know what else to do." Replied Kusuo, who covered part of his face with his hand. He stopped crying, but his face was still flushed and his voice was weak.
"It's ok, I understand why you did. But you don't need to, you really shouldn't actually." Said Kokomi, pulling him into a protective hug. He hugged back, and they both calmed each other down.
More stable and full of composure, they decided to go to the café and have a wholehearted conversation. Afterwards, Saiki and Teruhashi both felt steady and healthy. Not to mention, this last coffee jelly was much more pleasurable than the one Kusuo had for breakfast. He was so grateful for her. They stepped out of the restaurant, and made their way back to Saiki's to rest a bit before they had to say their goodbyes. Saiki saw on a digital clock that was attached to a storefront, that it was 10:08 A.M. He knew, and so did Kokomi, that in a few hours they'd have to leave each other's side. Both were devastated, but Teruhashi was worse at hiding it than he was. She locked her arm with Kusuo's, and clung to it firmly. They came down a sloped curb, and soon they could see their destination.
Saiki stopped walking a few meters before he was at the driveway, and Kokomi halted when he did. Teruhashi turned her head toward Saiki, and stared at him like he was a God. Him, on the other hand, peered into the distance while his eyes shined in the sun. Kusuo lowered his arm and lightly took her hand, and speedily lead himself and Teruhashi inside the front door, which was unlocked. It was strange, he could of sworn he had turned the key to on the way out. He told his girlfriend to stay behind him, his voice sounding low and serious. He held her hand closer and pushed past the screen door. They both crept through the living room, their backs arched and hands trembling. As they ever so slowly inched nearer, they heard pounding on the table and overly happy laughing. There were streamers blockading the entrance to the dining room, and Kusuo tore past them and got in a defensive position. He threw his arm out from his side, protecting Teruhashi, although it didn't end up being necessary. The noise turned out to be seven or so adults surrounding a table, all of which were drunk and crass. Slurs and curses exited their mouths freely, and at the head of the table were the loudest ones; Kusuo's mom and dad.
He immediately knew that this place wasn't safe for Teruhashi, so he nodded to his parents and spun around, heading upstairs. Kokomi didn't let go of his hand until they were in his room, with the door closed.
"I'm sorry, Teruhashi. You shouldn't have had to listen to them.. my parent's friends are always like that." He said, sounding apologetic.
"It's not your fault, and I'm used to it. Plenty of odd people had been to my house to interview me, and a lot of the time they would bring their whole film crew, who would get drunk when they finished shooting footage." She replied. She wasn't mad at him, but the experience brought up some painful memories that she'd rather keep repressed.
Teruhashi hopped on top of Saiki's bed, and he followed her. They just lay there, neither one of them had anything to say. It was comforting, Kokomi needed someone in that moment. She held his arm for security, but the sounds of yelling and destruction were too much.
"Kusuo, I'm sorry but.. I need to leave." She stated as she sat up and sped toward the door, choking back tears as she ran down the stairs and out of the house. Kusuo was hurting all over, but kept up with her until they were outside. He stumbled and caught himself in mid-air, but he just couldn't run anymore. She kept rushing away until all she couldn't hear anything but herself, and dropped her hands to her knees as she heavily breathed and cried. She shut her eyes and grit her teeth trying to get the sounds out of her head. She stood alone until she heard someone struggling behind her, and jumped into his arms as soon as she saw that her boyfriend was caught up. Embarrassing as it was, he held her until she released him, and he waited patiently until Kokomi was ready to talk.
AN; YAY! This is my longest chapter so far, I hope it's enjoyable! Just so you know, I think I will end up writing 7 or 8 chapters for this story, but nothing is confirmed yet. I'll include the definite number of chapters in another Author's Note, but for now, have a wonderful day/night/evening!
