This is me getting out my petty anger that I'm not allowed to dye my hair.

======

Bakugo POV

Ever since I was in middle school I've wanted to change my look, try to find myself and feel comfortable with my body and how I look. Obviously it's hard and feels practically impossible cause I'm always shot down and told to not do it, I want to get to a point where I at least tolerate my body and who I am. Doing so would include dyeing my hair and getting some new piercings, which I've wanted to do since the start. But unfortunately it's not so easy to just but what I need and do it or go somewhere to do it.

My sister was planning on cutting her hair short and having one of her friends dyeing it a brown to orange ombré. She'd been planning it for a few weeks and since I've wanted to do it for forever I asked if I could buy the dye and tag along and have her do it.

"I mean I'm fine with it, Bakugo. But you have to ask mom since you aren't 18 yet, you have to get her permission to dye your hair first." She said while she was making her bed. I slouched down further into my squat, knowing without even having to ask it was gonna be a no. She doesn't let me do anything I want yet let's my sister do anything.

My mom coincidentally reached the top of the stairs not even a minute after my sister said that, walking over towards her bedroom, which was right across from my sister's. I sat down from my squat and crossed my legs, trying to figure out how to word my question and already preparing to get shot down.

"Hey mom? I was uh...I was wondering...Bella was planning on going to Charlie's house in the summer to dye her hair. I uhm...could I? Could I go with them and get my hair dye too?" I asked nervously, stumbling on my words while I could feel my sister's eyes staring at me from behind. My mom looked at me with confusion, watching me for a few seconds.

"That depends, what color would it be?" She asks, tilting her head to the side as she walks into her room, sitting down on the big bed. I scoot my way over to her doorway so I can see her, though I refuse to make eye contact with her.

"Uhhh, black?" I say quietly, knowing that would be where she stops me and turns me down.

"You want to dye your hair black? Of all colors you wanna turn your beautiful blonde hair into a dark color like that? Why would you ever want to do that?" She asked with furrow eyebrows while she leaned he head forward. I kept my gaze everywhere but near her, already regretting even asking.

"Cause why not? I've wanted to for a while now." I say dejectedly, hearing a quiet laugh coming from my sister.

"Yeah, no. You gotta wait till you graduate, if you dye your hair black you're gonna ruin your graduation pictures. I still don't get it. Why black of all colors?" She asks while leaning back and crossing her arms.

"Cause that's the color I've wanted to dye my hair for a long time now." I say as I get back into a squat and stand up. I keep my head low, ready to walk back to my room.

"That's not gonna happen till you graduate, you'll ruin your pictures and I'm telling you, you're gonna regret doing it so much." She said as she shook her head and looked away from me. I sighed and nodded, walking sadly back to my room. I plopped down on the bed and sulked. For why I don't know, I shouldn't be this upset about not being allowed to dye my hair. Yet here I am.
