Rose Katherine and her four siblings struggle to survive under the tyrannous rule of their mother. All she really wants is to be free, but freedom requires coin, or paper, depending on where you live. Unfortunately finding work in her small town is damn near impossible. She hasn't taken any college classes for any trade, she has o certification for anything, and can't stand manual labor. So she turns to the internet, any social media that would pay her for making content. Wyatt Jones is a country boy who has it all, a loving family, a beautiful sort of-maybe-girlfriend, a stable job, and close to moving into his own apartment. Only one thing can go wrong now, he has to wait to officially meet his sort of-maybe-girlfriend until she believes she can move in with him. He's been trying to convince her to move in with him sense she told him about her parents, but she wants to be stable before moving in with someone stable.

My name is Madilyn. I am 16. I estranged my brother. This is my story.... note (from psyche to go ) Estrangements from family are one of the most psychologically painful experiences anyone could experience. It almost goes without saying that estranging yourself from family is absolutely counter-intuitive. Adding more stress to the already-stressful mix, society tends to project harsh judgment on people who reject their family - even as disturbed as some families can be. As a therapist who, by profession, must work to find the empathy for anyone who comes for treatment, it is hard to swallow the fact that some men and women can be so judgmental about others' experience - especially when they have no real idea about how bad things may have been in the estranger's family!" and I agree. In this book, I talk about my experiences and what led me to this decision. some events will be hard to swallow... but at least you didn't have to go through it. This story deals with the topic of borderline personality disorder (BPD) and mental health in general. Short Story written for an intro creative writing course (April 2022) Vesta struggles with intrusive thoughts. Following her father's death, Vesta's mother decides the best way to protect her is to isolate her. Desperate for some sense of connection, Vesta runs a blog online. *** Disclaimer: I am by no means saying this is an accurate portrayal of intrusive thoughts or mental illness. I did little to no research prior to writing. I just found a prompt that I liked and ran with it*** ***Any and all typos are intentional***

Another poem I wrote, but with a different theme. This one is about fake friendships and the hardships of letting them go, even when you know it's what's best for you.
