This is not a love story. This is what happens after. A collection of poems about being loved, broken, and slowly rebuilt by the aftermath of it all. About the version of me that believed in promises... and the one that had to survive them. He said I would find something better. He said I would be okay. But no one talks about what it feels like to lose yourself while trying to love someone else. This is for the friends who watched me change. For the parts of me I had to leave behind. And for the person I'm still becoming. Some things don't end with goodbye. Some things end with learning how to be new.

Twenty-two years after the events of "Like Father, Like Son", Luke Bradley is all grown up and coming back home after two years working as a teacher in Africa. Back on American soil, it's hard to adjust when all of his friends seem to have moved on without him. Weddings, children, it's all happening so fast, and yet he still has no idea what he wants for his future. 5th grade teacher Ryleigh Wynn knows what it's like to have a rough childhood, and it's been her goal to make sure no child ever has to feel alone and scared the way she did. When a familiar face starts to work at her school, old feelings come back to the surface. What happens when an adventurous spirit falls for a girl that has a hard time letting down her guard? This is the sequel to "Like Father, Like Son" but it can easily be read as a stand-alone. Please be advised that some of the content may not be suitable for younger audiences. There will be no explicit sex scenes, but some sexual content might still appear. There will also be profanity, and other mature themes that may be triggering to some. If you'd like to know more about potential triggers, please DM me.

To everyone whose brain is on a 'do not disturb' break Well hello there, I call myself Miss Tea (I'm going with that for now lol) and this is the first ever story that I have ever written (excluding all those fanfictions I once wrote of my besties and their crush *ahem ahem). And I would like for you to give it a chance, I mean it's not like you're currently studying and are busy procrastinating or just straight up ditching your work so why not. About this this story, well this one is just your casual Slowburn romcom where there is lot's of rom with sometimes com, not to get your expectations high in sky or something so I'm coming clean from get-go. And yeah, it will most likely have cheesy and corny ahh lines but I still hope you'll give it a chance.

"I swear Jace, I swear, if you walk out that door you will NEVER see your kid. I swear you that." "Goodbye Birdie." *** 7 years ago I was left pregnant at 18 and I've never been happier. Sure, I still work 3 jobs and live in a crappy apartment, but meals are on the table, we have a car, an income of money and a roof over our heads. It's a lot more then many other people have. Even those will change soon with my new job interview on Monday for a huge engineering company position run by some young CEO who built the company from scratch 6 years ago, which is pretty crazy.
